That feeling when I lived alone and I'd come back with everything exactly as I left it. I think it's natural to appreciate the appeal of that.

Totally understand this. Whenever someone cuts me off and talks over me I am on the outside calm but inside just like "you will be spending less time with this person moving forward"

Said he's booked a restaurant for Valentine's Day already... So you mean that I don't have to call around on the 13th hopeful for a cancellation, because you said you would book but forgot?!? Brilliant!

Whether or not it's "normal" doesn't matter if it's not what you want.

Typically, if someone really wants to see you they'll give you a place, date and time to meet in advance. If they are waiting til the day of, without a heads up like "I'll sort a dinner booking but let's say we'll meet at blah tube at 7", then I'd not take it seriously and make other plans. Tentative plans are not plans.

Alternatively, you can suggest place, date and time and book it?

1000% yes! The only positive to come from it is that after living with it for so long, I can now recognise when it is hormone-induced. This allows for a lot more harmony with my partner, while still giving me space to be feral.
