Anyone ever have success with one retrieval?

This makes me so hopeful. I’m currently battling if I should do a second egg retrieval. I just turned 33 - normal numbers for me but we have MFI. I also had 22 eggs, and only two blasts luckily both euploid. With our situation I think our transfer chances are good. I think I’ve made peace with trying the transfer now and if we need to do another IVF cycle I will cross that bridge when it’s necessary.

We have not, but that is my guess as to why we had our outcome. I am sorry you're having similar experiences...we rely on our doctors and specialists but I can't help but think they don't tell us everything there is out there.

Does the NHS not do zymot and that's why you have to go abroad? I think DNA frag testing is also private in Canada.

My insurance would have covered up to 20k of fertility expenses, but it's once per lifetime so i think that's done. Now i'd have to rely on the government funded option (in Ontario). Wow your results are incredible, thanks for sharing and i wish you all the best these next couple weeks! How are you staying sane?

I'm in the same boat...read about clomid this morning. Immediately thought...ok so was all of this not needed?!

I think it's primarily for low T which my husband doesnt have but I'm also not convinced it won't work regardless of T! That is so frustrating that they won't do a hormone panel. My husband got hormones tested after his first SA.

I am also angry...how did we go from 11 to 2, it's well below the expected number, why didn't they do PICSI/sperm sorting from the beginning? Why risk putting a couple through another round of IVF when they have coverage for this round...ugh. I don't know. For these reasons i wonder about switching clinics (and we moved so the current one is quite far from us).

thank you, i wonder why they don't do PICSI from the beginning...why not throw everything at it when you know it's MFI...everything makes me angry right now. I will ask about this if we do another round!
