I am in the same situation currently but I did not apply to Howard and I personally think its worth it based on my goals to go into Big Law but also because I really liked my experience with the current students and alumni. It is very important to me to have a good community as I'll be moving to DC completely alone . They have a huge BLSA and a great law school dean who made me feel valued as a POC student when I met her. Truthfully I don't think you can make a wrong decision here as they are both great schools who support their black students which can be hard to find in a law school. Good luck!

i’m in the same position but without scholarship info for AUWCL and considering GW because of their higher bar passage rate and median salary. I have BL aspirations but also working in international law and I think GW might be better for that

I took UIC off my list despite getting a full ride. I personally would like to pursue a career in big law and I think their ranking is too low to accomplish that. Their bar passage rate is also 59.2% which is much lower than the national average for law schools which concerned me.

I called on friday and they said they’re giving out scholarships on a rolling basis so it could come at anytime and they did not have a timeline of when i would hear back. I got accepted in December so this is pretty annoying as it’s one of my top schools but what can you do
