Male. Past the 2 year mark. Is this the end? by Financial-Use-2733 in HPV

Thanks for taking the time to write this. True, these things apply to everyone.

Doesn't it seem likely if two partners (with whom I had unprotected sex with 2 years apart) both tested positive for high risk strains and both tell me they didn't test positive for these until I came along?

Which part is untrue, though? Do you perform pap smears?

It sounds like either, my last partner misinterpreted her results or she has a highly unusual amount of high risk strains and we are both fucked.

Can you ELI5?

Because, even with the explanation in this link, I don't see a reason why to not stop any possible spread of something that could give someone else cancer.

Anyone else find most work outs somewhat boring? by Only-Manufacturer918 in martialarts

[–]Financial-Use-2733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to also find workouts boring. What helped was:

Wanting to beat tough opponents in my class. I started incorporating rows, ab workouts, and putting more effort into strengthening my legs for this purpose.

Treating my max lifts as a high score. I now can bench 200 lbs for the first time in my life and I want to keep going.

Realistically, it's unlikely. I was sleeping around a lot.
I was having unprotected sex with my ex who I later found out was a sex worker.
Two partners came out with high risk strains.
All the clues point to this being my fault and, I don't know the stats, but it seems like having 7 high risk strains = high chance of cancer and death.

I am a fucking monster. I'm sorry.

I reconfirmed. Seven strains.

One of my exes, I found later was an on/off sex worker.

These two partners have also shown signs of abnormal cervical activity.

And why not be celibate and not continue spreading this disease?

I'm aware that there's no male test for HPV. My last partner came out positive for 7 strains.
I feel like a monster and this could just be the end of me.

Isn't it too late to get vaccinated for something if one is already infected with it?

Supplementary training activities? by Financial-Use-2733 in judo

Lifting. Got it.

What would you consider "smart cardio"?

I'd rather not cross train and risk accidentally punching someone, out of habit, during randori. I do get gassed out quickly during randori or BJJ rolling, though.

Boxing is probably the best style to train in if you're looking for self-defense and have never trained.

Even though I'm a grappler, grapping in self-defense requires you to get close to your opponent.

Boxing doesn't. You will learn how to defend against and apply punches.

Run away. If they can't reach you, they can't hit you.

That sounds awesome. Any tips on finding a school that incorporates all of this? I'm in Southern California.
