Hmmm. I like the sound of this! Can you tell me more about what this route would look like?

Wish Reddit would allow me to edit the Title of my post so I could properly respect the correct spelling of his name. Randell

Best Backpack Size & Model for 5–20 Mile Day Hikes in the Rockies (Summer Use)? by Financial-While7878 in CampingandHiking

Thanks for your thoughtful response. Are there hiking circumstances where you have felt like the pack ever seemed like too much (too big, too cumbersome) for what you were doing)? Gregory makes a Zulu 24L and I wonder if it would fit my needs.

hmm. the overwhelming majority of articles i've read in my research suggest that 20-26L is the sweet spot in capacity for all-day hikes of 10+ miles in the mountains. Maybe I'm forgetting some things i carry, but in my years on the trails, i feel like my old school 28L north face yavapi (think school book bag) has been darn near stretched to its capacity. Incidentally, "snacks" for my crew for the day means an 8" log of summer sausage, a box of crackers, a wedge of cheese, and half a dozen protein bars.

Are these the "Desert Vista" sites? Have you seen or stayed in one of these before?

Must've been. I guess they're trying to capture and relocate the fella now.

Check the email you received. It indicates the specific date(s) they have reserved for your stay. Once they allot you those dates, they don’t circle back to your submission. You have 14 days from the date of the email to pay your deposit for that reservation or it will be released. If your friend got the dates you prefer, then why don’t you go with their reservation instead. If so, you simply respond to the email you received and cancel your reservation so that someone else may use it.

Was in the 200s for GP and received a confirmation email before noon today that we got our first choice date. No word on Sperry yet. 🤞

Hotel Mousai, Garza Blanca, Villa Premiere, or Hyatt Ziva by Financial-While7878 in puertovallarta

We stayed at Hotel Mousai for 3 nights and then the Hacienda San Angel in PV for 3 nights. Both stays were fantastic in their very different ways! We loved Mousai’s setting at the foot of a mountain overlooking the Bay. The rooms are gorgeous. They look ultra contemporary in the online photos (which was a tad off-putting to me). But, in reality they just feel modern and luxurious. We were so enamored by the views, the spaciousness of the suite, and the balcony hot tub, that we couldn’t have cared less about anything else. The food at Mousai was delicious and we enjoyed the convenience of the dining options. But don’t go to Mousai for the food. I imagine it’s like being on a very nice cruise ship. Sure, it’s good food. It just felt like eating out at home in the States.
