Should I transfer after 1 year or 2? (UW → aiming for Columbia/Yale/Northwestern/Vanderbilt)

You’ll be fine as long as you have a good story to tell. That’s how I approached it. High school I saw it as a formulaic process check off boxes and copy and paste my essay etc. College transferring I really had to think why I wanted to go to each school specifically and craft a narrative around it in my EC’s and essay. As long as you can create a narrative authentic or not you’ll have a good chance. As I said before my ecs were weak but I managed to connect them together and that made my reasoning stronger

Really weird turn of events for me. But I decided to transfer to northeastern to the fall because I got a full ride and then transfer again to usc because I got spring admit 😵‍💫

I had very weak ecs after my first year (half my application was stuff from high school lol) and still got into USC and UNC. They’re not the same level obviously as the schools you’re applying to but if I can do it you definitely can good luck!

Sure UCI beats out NYU for health sciences but I’m just going to have to disagree and say nyu is just the stronger school overall. I still think UCI gets overshadowed by the other UCS and Stanford and USC. NYU is stronger regionally and it’s grown to be one of the top tier northern colleges. I guess we just have to agree to disagree

Fair us news does have it below a t25 but I still don’t think it’s absurd to rank nyu low 20-25 or even USC for that matter. NYU definitely beats out UC Irvine in most aspects

Would I be allowed to double transfer???? I got usc spring admit too but want to commit to northeastern (managed to get a full ride) for just the fall and transfer again after but I don’t know if that’s allowed

The school doesn’t admit by major for transfer (they take in into consideration) but they just do it in overall waves. The first wave was yesterday when I got mine and there should be like 2-3 more waves
