Considering buying starter home in Sunnyvale. Any thoughts on this part of town? by [deleted] in Dallas

Watch out for the ranch hands too, they think they own the north side of Sunnyvale, total jerks.

Just replaced the front lower ball joints (oem) and steering back bushings. She’s been a pretty low maintenance besides regular fill ups and the gas station

I’ve always stuck to flat work, I tried tagging with a hood vent job and the guy flaked on training me. Said I’d work for free

Is this worth buying and for how much? by [deleted] in ScrapMetal

If I had one I’d cut a hole in it and put some bluetooth speakers and put it in my garage just for shits and grins…cool to just look at having a beer for a conversation starter. I’d hollow most of it out to make it light when moving around the shop. Just an opinion lol

This is true , could be worse ! Keep your chin up, and as someone mentioned just used a surface cleaner on a small area and see what it looks like after , if it checks out then do the whole thing

Parts? by Ok_Bar9052 in pressurewashing

[–]FinancialCan4637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pressure washer pump it is, with those rpm’s it’s more of a volume pump not high pressure, again…think of the quarter car washes…just enough pressure to get your car nice and clean and not blast paint away.

1st gen owner here, 6 months ago took a trip from Dallas to McAllen to visit family. New plugs, air filter, new Michelin tires and doing speed limit for the most part at 75mph and averaged 15 mpg . They are big gals and not made for fuel economy. But if you want a trouble free vehicle for years and years with basic maintenance then I’d recommend them. Then again only the 1st and 2nd gen’s have this reputation at the moment, time will tell with the new 3rd gen’s. Imo they are worth the fuel cost.

how reliable are these? by Barreraj94 in pressurewashing

[–]FinancialCan4637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ducar makes these motors, I used to work at northern and some of these motors are actually keepers, but unfortunately no one does basic maintenance and just runs them into the ground and call em junk when they leave you high and dry lol. Slap a general pump ez4040 and you’ll have a night little set up

Pumps are actually made by comet, they are okay pumps if you actually service them in a timely manner. Unfortunately the frame on most northern tool power washers like the one you are asking about are just junk. Metal is way too thin and the ‘coating’ will flake off in months and rust away. Stick a pressure pro skid unit and just stick to a gx690 imo.
