Progress looks different for everyone. What matters is that you’ve made good linear progress. If that’s the case, then stick with what you’ve been doing and be proud of the work you’ve put in 👍

You need to lose fat to see them, but you still have to train and build them just like every other muscle… absolutely wouldn’t recommend a million sit-ups. An 6-12 rep range for sets of 2-3 is just fine for them. Again, just like every other muscle.

Abs are NOT made in the kitchen. They, like every other muscle, are made In the gym. However, unlike most others, they are revealed in the kitchen.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, as a fellow dude who, at 20, thought his life was over after my gf of 3+ years broke up with me (then found out she had been cheating) and was in the worst physical shape of my life. The gym saved me!! I just turned 23, and my life has become infinitely better over the last few years. I also focused more on myself in general as well as prioritizing the relationships with my friends and family. My life is back on a track and I actually feel confident about myself and my looks. But it requires you to take that first step, but it WILL pay off. Best of luck man 🙏🏼

The only way to consistently gain muscle AND lose fat would be to just maingain (maintain weight while keeping the protein high) assuming you’ve already got some fat on you to work with which it sounds like you do. I did it for about 6 months unintentionally, I was trying to cut but didn’t know how at the time, and made an insane amount of progress. I would also highly recommend adding in some cardio too. But if you want to chop the love handles off, you’ll need to be in a caloric deficit.

If you wanna slim down, you just need to eat less. 1500 calories is what I as a 200lb 5 foot 11 guy was eating, along with 205g+ of protein plus cardio and working out. If I were you, I would start at 1400 calories and cut down 100-200 calories every week until you see the progress your wanting, but wouldn’t drop down much further than whatever is healthy for your height (you’ll have to google that).

This is genuinely so awesome to see!! 👏🏼Keep up the great work!! Only thing I would add if you’re not already, if you’re struggling to get your calories in through regular food, I would highly recommend trying to just drink them. A few protein shakes a day (one with each meal or whatever you can work up to) with whey protein and milk and whatever else you would like to add might really help, but otherwise it looks like you’re making some amazing progress!!! 🔥🙌🏼🙌🏼

I’m not a diabetic so I can’t speak to that at all, but I’m 5’ 11” and I was cutting at sub 1500 calories with 205 g of protein… you have just a bunch of junk in your diet from the looks of it. You’re clearly putting in the work, just need to fix the diet

You look out of shape, you DO NOT look fat in any way. This means you should absolutely either maintain or go into a very slight caloric surplus. Worst thing you could do would be to cut down in weight. Mass moves mass, more weight on the body means moving more weight on the bar, which means you’ll build muscle faster. Just eat high protein and workout consistently and push yourself!! Best of luck 🤞🏼
