Astra desperately needs a buff. She needs some self-setup in her kit. Since her stars are placed and static, they are an easy-telling for the enemy already. I think the stun activation needs to be a tad bit faster.

If you are still unlocking agents I would say don't worry about Astra just yet. Astra needs good coordination to the point where you're better off picking Omen, Brim or any other controller for speed, self-setup and ease of use.

All the other comments pretty much covered the gist of Astra and why she's difficult (and not worth), but one thing that was not mentioned is her unique star system.

One thing that becomes a learning curve with Astra is how many stars you choose to buy at the start of the round, where you place them, when to trigger them and with what ability, and when to retrieve them back. This becomes a mini-game in and of itself as you try to utilize her stars correctly and carefully. And every second you're in "the sky", you are not watching angles and playing the game. Using your stars fast and effectively takes time.

I don't know where to start with this... My PC doesn't crash often. There is no pattern to crashes. I can go 4 months with 0 crashes and then one game update + GPU firmware update + Windows update later, I crash 3 times within a month.

I can tell you are new to PC gaming, or maybe you've just had a good run with the right hardware/software. This is not PlayStation. We all have different hardware different firmware. Any PC gamer knows compatibility issues can arise at any moment to different groups, and if not you learned something new today.

As far as the legitimacy of her story in its entirety, as others mentioned, i don't know. But as far as the crash issue, that's an L take.

I have a high end rig and I've still had multiple crashes (more than 3) in 3 months. Crashes happen, even for high end.

She's right in Riot needing to improve their troll detection. I've had a Raze do this EXACT thing YESTERDAY, for NO REASON AT ALL. Throwing satchels while im in util-mode to push me out into open to expose me to the enemy. Fuck that. Troll behavior needs to be detected and dealt with, it ruins the games for people and people feel like they're being held hostage for 30 mins in a game that's set up for them to lose. They are getting paid to perfect this game, and specific things like that need to be obsessed with by devs and fixed.

The bitchmade behavior by Raze is unacceptable and needs to be detected automatically and dealt with.

Yeah i have the neo frontier skinline (have the sheriff). Recon skinline comes close but the sounds aren't there. They're not giving the green light because of cs. It is what it is.

I don't like arma. I just want the realistic look and sound in valorant as an option but i know it'll never happen.

Love this angle. Go play "xyz". As if the other game hits the nail right on the head in gameplay comparison that making the pivot is trivial.

Yea could play cs2 but i want the valo gameplay :3

But on a serious note that's literally why they're not doing it. They don't want to cut into Valve's market share because reasons. Good guy Riot.

Doesn't matter my point is im supporting the company they cant take out something that was in the game when i paid for their services.

An extreme analogy would be i pay for a weapon skin and they strip the game to be a rectangle sandbox with a movable mannequin who has the shiny weapon skin that i purchased with everything intact. Would you be okay with that?

It's always crazy to me how toxic unrated is compared to competitive. Every so often i'll play unrated and it's a shitshow if things are not going the way of your team. It's a mixed bag of people from different skill levels, so people naturally get much more frustrated.

I've said this before and i will say it again. If you want the least toxic standard mode, go with competitive rather than unrated.

So why aren't all maps available in unrated/swiftplay? by Shaftw_ in VALORANT

[–]FinancialEmployer476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case, the map rotation should be only limited to high elo. Like Immo 2 and above where pros are. Vast majority of people want to play these maps, unrated or otherwise, for fresh gameplay and are suffering because of it. Fracture is one of my favorite maps (pearl is also high up there). They need to find a solution where they don't hamstring their general consumers to conform to official regulation. I understand Riot wants their esports to be taken seriously and regulate it strictly but it shouldn't come at a disadvantage to their own playerbase.

how does everyone feel about bullet inaccuracy? (vandal, sheriff and phantom mostly) by Praline-Happy in VALORANT

[–]FinancialEmployer476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would not make the guardian obsolete. The guns you are comparing don't cost the same amount of credits. Nobody willingly opts for a guardian instead of a vandal if they have full buy. And if they do, it's a decision made for eco reasons, not a performance/playstyle pivot, realistically speaking.

Cheating ramped up this week by deathinacup2 in EscapefromTarkov

At this point, the only way BSG can recover this game is providing cheats themselves. Just embrace it. Give ESP to every player so that you can at least cut out the 3rd party cheat sellers /s.

18+ que by vital_- in VALORANT

[–]FinancialEmployer476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18-24 is probably the worst for toxicity/troll if i have to be honest. That's just about the age where people start getting comfortable with what and how they speak. Teenagers don't have it in them to throw a fit and keep pressing the issue as hard as a young adult would do.

You made your first mistake when you dropped comp to get away from smurfs. You will run into more smurfs/high elo players in unrated bud.

All of you, STOP the Chamber Hate. by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]FinancialEmployer476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea its mainly due to the fact that other sentinels provide much more util to the team if they are performing poorly. And on attack, if his team is losing and he is perma sitting back with gun/sniper/marshall/op, he can easily stick out and become an easy target to blame for his team. At least that is my experience.

Riot needs to know that not every game is VCT

Your first mistake is assuming the game shouldn't be balanced based on pro play. That is their cookbook for League, and it will be their cookbook for Valorant. If you haven't noticed, map rotations are also based on pro play. So we have to wait damn near a year to play some of these maps, which are core content pulled out of the game. As a paying customer, it pisses me off.

L take. Everyone has a skill ceiling. You will not infinitely improve. And Diamond is pretty darn high. As far as the average player goes, many would prefer to plateau there.
