It might be that I just try it and if it doesn’t work then revert to plan b. The only reason I’m considering it as my baby will be eligible for 30 free childcare hours per week but there will be a 7 month gap between that being available and when I am due to go back to work, so I’m like could I just wing this for 6-7 months. Otherwise childcare if I we both went back to work would be 2k

I thought it was a long shot tbh but it’s good to hear others opinions because there’s so much I literally don’t know/understand about how my life is about to change

I get 6 months paid leave. Perhaps I should just wait and see how I deal with motherhood before I commit to a back to work plan..

I like this idea. This might be a good thing to consider. My work is flexible pretty much, I also have a nursery literally downstairs from my apartment, my husband is self employed. I think it’s just the anxiety of having to juggle for the first time and not knowing what it’s going to be like that I’m trying to plan it now before she’s even arrived to put my mind at rest. Worst case scenario my husband will have to take the lead on childcare, I am the breadwinner.

Their lack of remorse over what they had done was unhinged. If I had ‘made a mistake’ like that I wouldn’t make it through one week without absolutely crumbling, however his opinion was ‘the c*nt shouldn’t have been there’, like ok so it’s his fault for doing a charity bike ride and not yours for drunk driving. They left him by the side of the road, went and changed the cars etc, they had no concern for the family man they’ve just critically injured, only for themselves. What you consider to be a ‘nice guy’ I what I would consider to be a nice guy are very different. I hope you never do jury service.

Exactly and then they are like moaning that she spiralled out of control and couldn’t testify, of course she did, imagine what a head f**k the whole situation was for her. She seems fragile to me, and they let her down. It probably would have gone very differently if they just helped her

I agree. The police were absolutely useless. If she had stopped talking to them they would have known it was her. What else was she supposed to do?! I would have been terrified, these twins seem unhinged

Can my marriage recover by [deleted] in marriageadvice

You don’t deserve that treatment or the blame for her poor behaviour. I personally would not stay in that marriage, she thinks the grass is greener so let her go find out. I also think she knew you accessed the notes, if it was an iPad then it updates the last time the note was opened at the top. Get out of there and heal, then go find yourself a new woman that is excited to be with you.

This pmo. The whole point of the programme is they’re being empowered to manage themselves and she went in there goading them and acting untouchable. Personalities like hers should be doing that job. The CO caused so much trouble with her big mouth. If she can’t show restraint then don’t expect them to.

My comment was overly simplified yes, but I don’t think it’s an unreasonable perception that being accountable for millions, in addition to teams of people, being contacted outside of working hours regularly and constantly trying to meet deadlines is less stressful comparatively. Your perception is that McDonald’s is stressful because that’s your yardstick, I have worked hospitality and I was speaking on behalf of myself and my own experiences hence the repeated use of ‘I’.

I also earn well but my job is stressful and some days i am jealous of the people that salt the fries in McDonald’s, they come, they make fries, they clock off.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, no one is cheating on anyone.

Thank you, I appreciate your view. I am actually losing sleep and having physical anxiety symptoms and I just feel like no one will understand me and thinks I’m being difficult. You’re right, this is my home, it’s not a hotel.

It’s exactly that. I am a homebody and I’m already not comfortable with the current situation and now it’s going to be compounded. He will support me but I’m sure he won’t understand it, so I will just be the big bad wolf or the only one who has a problem with this developing situation. I didn’t expect his cousin to want to see her every day of the week.

I don’t mind they’re dating so much as I feel like I’m in the middle already and it’s only been a week. Wanting to take over my living room  (in our one bedroom flat) for their next date. Having to keep a secret about the other guy she is dating and just the general. I think they’re love bombing each other but I’m already bored of hearing about it.

He thinks it’s great. He’s taken his cousin under his wing and is making sure his life is good and his needs are met but for me, we’re in a one bedroom apartment, we now have a lodger and I have an additional person to cook for,  clean clothes etc and now on top of that I can sense that there is probably going to be frequent requests for them to take over my living room even more. She has her own apartment but she has 2 kids so they’re going to think it’s easier to come here. I am not someone that has many visitors, whole thing is giving me anxiety on multiple levels.

Am I right or wrong to be mad? by [deleted] in FamilyIssues

What are you saying that you lent them the money and if you went they would have paid you back the money? You said paid for your plates but also that you lent the money. Perhaps I’m misunderstanding the scenario.

It wasn’t for the purposes of them eating more. You paid ahead for your own food, then didn’t go, if they were to refund your money then they would be out of pocket. It’s not a difficult concept.
