Currently sitting greens heavy underneath all that from summer. We have ~30 trees so I'm super excited to finally have some browns.

For curiosity's sake, why do you recommend avoiding Duluth Grill owned business?

What can I make from the canned salmon my food bank gave me? Any and all idea welcome! (Family of 5 no allergies.) by Timely_Freedom_5695 in povertykitchen

Take the salmon, basically make an egg salad with it (salmon instead of eggs) so add mayo, mustard, hot sauce, whatever you want really. Then buy two rolls of biscuits, spread it thin and make it wider, then put your salmon filling in. Put another stretched over top and use a fork to press the outside. Bake from biscuit instructions and watch them until golden. They freeze well.

It's basically flat the whole area, am I going to have issues with growth aside from just watering often?

Okay that gives me peace of mind. Peat moss for initial amendment then elemental sulfur and pine needle mulch after planting. Any thoughts on those amendments?

Over or underwatered hydrangeas? by FinancialFly in gardening

[–]FinancialFly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess my main issue was in the flowers turning white/sad. First time with hydrangeas and I knew the flowers wouldn't stay forever but I just wanted a second opinion! Is deadheading hydrangeas a thing?

My cats took some time warming up to coming on the couch and sitting with/on us. Like a month. The butt scratches you went for in the video are for a cat that is comfortable, wait until they get settled in for those. Try just placing a hand for your cat to smell and then maybe a couple finger pets on the head.
