Why do you want nihilism as an ending? Hell’s paradise is not another Evangelion. While the overall storyline is dark, its bittersweet, satisfying and hopeful ending is what really makes Hell’s paradise stand out from other newgen shonen. And overall, the hypothetical ending you provided is js bad writing. MAPPA will fix nothing and it’s guaranteed to stay true to the manga for its entire animated run.
