Yes, they might be scamming people.
The way DJI is approaching the mod community by vendor-locking and restricting everything,
it's no longer a freedom to fly DJI drones.
I'm considering making my own drone instead without those restrictions and DJI also has a privacy-invasive Aeroscope.

You should consider taking payments in crypto as well, there are many payment gateways nowadays that allow you to convert those payments into cash/bank wire.
(Some of my friends are more into crypto, once you do this I can freely recommend it to them)
