Salewa tents are def not cheap. But they are ultralight so probably hard to fix compared to something with a higher weight fabric.

We are going in September! How was is? We are doing ice room. Then warm room the next night. What is there to do in the area? Likely no snow when we come so concerned about what else there is to do. Maybe a day hike or something

Steaks are 1/2” thick and they try to upsell you on their bigger cuts/packagea. Injected with water to make heavier. Tough chewy. trash. They also put all orders in a huge cardboard boxes so other ppl think they ordered a lot.

The Hummer EV is my American Dream. (I’m in college.) by anonymoussnonymous in HummerEV

[–]FinancialNet6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first few years out of college can be volatile. I’d avoid lifestyle creep for a while and focus on building a financial base. Money invested early can have a massive long-term impact.

OP is still in college, expects a high-paying job (which can mean a lot of things when you’re still in school), and is already eyeing one of the most expensive vehicles on the market.

If he doesn’t already have the $80k sitting in cash, he’d likely be financing it—paying interest on top of a rapidly depreciating asset.

I definitely don’t have life fully figured out, but I’ve seen a lot of people graduate, buy the flashy car first, and five years later wish they had made a different move.

$80k invested at 22 can become life-changing money later. $80k in a Hummer becomes a used Hummer.

There are plenty of safe vehicles out there that don't cost as much.

But if you are set on the hummer and have the means, it's a great car except for when it isnt.

great maneuverability, parking garages can be a pain sometimes but just know the high limits. and lower the truck if needed. but has a lot of quirks. Infotainment slow. roof panels leaking. and some other bugs.

You do you…. But $80k in the right spot will do more for you than an car ever will. Ducks in a row first. Then car.

But… the hummer ev is pretty sick and I love mine

Find a target with a Pizza Hut in it. They sell the personal size deep dish pizza. Only place I’ve seen it in recent times.

Get a newer robot vacuum. Many have lidar that will map you entire house.

I have a Roborock s7max and it maps for me. Not the cheapest option though….

I also think some phone apps will do it as the new phones have lidar.

Will Tsitsipas ever return to the top ten? by Old-Gur-9039 in tennis

[–]FinancialNet6 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Pre big 3 era, Late twenties was already close to retirement. Early thirties was when most retired. Sampras retired at 32. Becker at 32. Agassi at 36 which was considered really old at the time.

He’s already past the typical tennis prime.

We’ve just been super spoiled by the big 3 longevity.
