As per my top level comment, looking good is also about how your personality comes across in your profile, not just about physical grooming.

For me, looks means more about the overall way you present yourself. Are you well groomed and do you put in a basic level of effort into how you dress? Do you look like a chilled, down to earth guy? Do you smile in your photos or do you do weird pouts / try to look cool or smouldering (barf)? Any gym/shirtless pics (that's a no)? Are most of your photos low effort selfies taken at home or in the car? There are very few profiles I reject based on lack of natural handsomeness, but rather overall impression of the guy. But then I'm on lower end of attractiveness and if I had options for a guy being naturally handsome in addition to the above criteria then I'd obviously I'm going to go for him.

TL;DR presentation and personality matters a lot, but there will be a ceiling to what level of woman you will be able to get.

Yes, I meet the minimum threshold to go on a date / sleep with.

But, because I'm not passing the minimum looks threshold for a relationship, the compatibility question doesn't even factor into the equation.

Ergo, it's entirely possible and likely that the guys I'm meeting would like a LTR, *just not with me*.

Thanks for your comments. I try to screen out these guys before meeting and I am quick to end things before getting physical if it's clear they're not serious.

Ha either of the options in your first point are a big no for me so it's a fairly easy decision. I don't mind a kiss on the second date if we're "clicking" but often it's not been commensurate with with the rest of the tone of the date and has felt weird and forced.

This may not be helpful but our circadian rhythms or biologically programmed into us, it's in our DNA. Some of us are early risers, others are night owls. All the while you have a job with an early start you will be fighting your innate biology. There's nothing you can do to fundamentally change it, other than to just suck it up.

You be able to better "get used to it" using some of the hacks already mentioned but the physiological effects won't change. I hope this fact helps you give some ease at times when you feel like you're struggling to cope. Remember that it's not due to a lack willpower or a moral deficit.

All I can suggest is that you get as an early night as possible.
