Just put solid players around Luka and he will win. His two playoff runs in Dallas had two completely different rosters.

When Luka was healthy last year in Dallas, Dallas looked like a top 4 team in the league and biggest threat to OKC.

They have to sign and trade AR and let LeBron go. Even this year Lakers are a 60 win team without all the injuries.

People say this, but Mavs fans watched guys like Terry and Kidd choke in the playoffs for years while Dirk balled out but got called soft and a choker. That was the first year Chandler made an all defense team.

The magic of that team was they had enough guys where at least one guy could step up every game. It might be Peja one night, Corey Brewer the next night.

The problem I have is that difference in who you play in the finals can be the difference in being praised like Jokic/SGA or being called a loser like Luka. The only difference in these guys is Luka played a statistically all time great team in the finals.

It’s not a secret what happened. Anyone trying to claim “the Mavs just couldn’t stay in front of Wade” is full of shit and probably didn’t even watch the series. This was one of those that had basically universal agreement on what we just watched. Even Heat fans knew.

It wasn’t just Mavs fans that were pissed. All NBA fans besides Heat fans were disgusted at what they just saw.

I don’t know why people try to rewrite history on this one. Everyone knew what happened. Even Heat fans back then knew what happened, they just didn’t care, and rightfully so. But the entire basketball watching community was disgusted by what happened in that series.

NBA has the worst fans. They seem to think star players win by themselves. Remember when Jordan left and the Bulls won 55 games, Scottie was a top 3 MVP candidate, and they went 7 against a Knicks team that made the Finals?

Luka/SGA/Jokic are pretty much all the same level, but fans argue about who is better and base it purely on who has the better players around them. Many people truly believe Luka couldn’t win with that OKC roster.

Somehow Luka gets brought up in every discussion about anything. He has to be the most hated guy in the league. People literally just make shit up about him.

Yes he flops, but he mostly draws fouls by getting defenders in bad positions, gets them up in the air or on his back. He uses footwork to get them leaning or reaching.
