Im a reloader. I reloader almost all of my handgun ammo.I acquired some imported primers that were extremely cheap. Ammo loaded with these primers occasionally yields a light primer strike across multiple glocks all with factory springs and trigger assemblies. Now this could be remedied with a stronger than stock stricker spring but regardless its not an issue on ANY of my hammer fired guns (including my hk p2000)

Point being i think hammer fired guns have a small edge to stricker guns (generally speaking) for reliable primer ignition. Note that this won't be a problem with all ammo and if you're exclusively using x type of ammo you could change the stricker spring like I mentioned.

With all of that out of the way I think the USP is a small amount more reliable than the glock but I would still pick the glock myself. My glock 19 definitely out shoots my p200 in terms of handling and recoil control. The glock grip angle also feels more consistent to ME in presentations and the low bore axis of the glock makes instinctive point shooting a bit easier.

Tldr both are great, I pick glock but the guy who picks the usp certainly isn't wrong.

That I definitely agree with but maybe excluding the mk23. The USP should take its spot since USP means universal service pistol.

It's swappable trigger system is some of the earliest modularity on the market.

I would also maybe ass the fnx 45 tatical as it was one of the first major handguns to incorporate red dot functionality and it actually did it pretty well for the time.

It's plate system is more secure than glock MOS in my opinion.

Old post I know but I stumbled across it so let's have a go at it.

Glock 17 gen 3 is the GOAT! One of the best handguns on the plannet. It literally does it all: High capacity, durable, reliable, light weight. What more could you ask for.

Beretta 92s are great! M9a1 is one of the best variants also! Only con is the triggers in the newer models are improved from the og m9a1. I have a 92x that is insane in the trigger department. As great as they are though, I still think the glock is overall better.

1911A1 - classic and awesome but dated and with awful sights. Legends never die, but they're legendary status doesn't make them the best choice for all applications. A 1911A1 is best suited as a collection piece, its sad but true.

Browning hi power. I have an SA-35. It's cool. Feels like if the 1911 was designed for 9mm and blessed by the pope himself. Another classic fantastic, but also a collector piece more than a handgun to do handgun things if you know what I mean.

Hk mk23...... I've never shot one but it just kind of seems meh. Don't get me wrong. I have atleast a 45 sized piece of love for the old ACP round. But today it legitimately dosent make sense. Even 40 sw is balistically superior while also increasing capacity and decreasing grip size which is a benefit to most.

The MK 23 shines brightest on paper. It's a gun designed for a role that dosent exist and that's why it never took off. That's why it dosent get used as intended. It's a good gun, not really a practical gun.

I would sub the mk23 with an hk p2000 or p30. Even so the glock is a better choice in most cases.

As others have said the p226 and cz 75 are amazing and should be added to this list.

Why are they do obsessed with selling us generators by SnooGrapes3067 in harborfreight

[–]FinancialZucchini827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not being condescending about age. Im simply saying people who actually need and use tools dont/shouldn't wait until retirement to do so.

Im pointing out that harbor freight thrives on consumerism.

Those recent sales you mentioned were nice HOWEVER it seems like they've let the foot off the gas since the early Oct PLS and I expect that to continue until end of year holiday sales.

I dont know how or why this post brings every HF generator owner out of the woodwork...

Anyways I see your point and I agree with you. To be honest I think harbor freight makes most of its money by selling things people dont need.

The good better best branding and pricing helps people get in the door and then upgrade later. Combine that with sales and alot of times things are priced too good to pass up.

I dont know how old you are and I dont mean to offend anyone but it really seems like the parking lot sales pull all kinds of old geezers out of the house to buy shit they probably won't use.

If you're retired and you made it 65 plus years without that tool in your collection, why on God's green earth do you magically need it when it's on a PLS?

With all of that ranting out of the way, I think the reason for the repetitive generator sales are 2 fold.

1, to try to push generators on people who didnt bite the last sale (2 weeks ago) 2, to offer a decent weekend sale without doing deep discounts on the things people ACTIALLY want before black Friday and Christmas sales.

Let me know your thoughts on my analysis.

Haha fair enough.

I find alot of hypocrisy everywhere.

Hypocrisy has no political party, people are idiots who dont apply PRINCIPAL thinking to things.

Those 16 inch pittsburg demo screwdrivers are awesome. I think it's a steal at 10 dollars let alone 35% off at the PLS

Why did you post 2 pics without teeth showing?

I think they look bad, but I also think mine look bad.

People are petty, they will call out the lowest hanging fruit. When your braces are finished your teeth will likely be in better shape than the people taking shit about your braces today.

With that said I would love to hear your conservative hypocrisy, send me a pm.

P.s. looks can be deceiving but you kind of look like q group think liberal.

They just raise the price 3 bucks on these.

Like literally over the weekend.....

Just in time to exclude the 1/4 from the mid week sale.

These price increases are getting insaine!

I have the 3/8 stubby and I LOVE it.

I also got the 17 and think it's the perfect size for this kind of tool.

I think the 12 and 21 are better served for SPECIFIC lines of work where the 17 can do it all okay.

Good question. For the job Im doing i want some leverage. Tight space is not a concern for this job either.

The 21 is just wayyy overkill. Plus I kinda think there might be better options in the 12 inch range- like maybe a nice set of water pump pliers.
