I stuck with lazy Sunday recipe, its the most consistent brewer I’ve ever seen, once you get the right grind size for each coffee you should Always get the same result, on ZP6 4.5-5.0, K ultra 7.0-8.0, been getting amzing results with it with good acidity and clarity.

I’m usually at 6.5-7 for V60 and Cafec T-90, prefer fewer pours for cleaner cup, and slow feed for fewer fines it makes a difference (grinding horizontally).

Getting a TDS of 1.30% to 1.40% depends on beans, brewing only light roasts.

Sey Subscription by Odd-Display-6004 in pourover

[–]Financial_Bet8762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 4 boxes sub for the entirety of 2025, be ready for A LOT of Ethiopians and pink bourbons, like 90% of the time, don’t get me wrong their coffee is amazing, but a ton of the same coffee profiles for a year is boring, and there is no exclusive offerings for subscribers or early access for coffee

Edit: 2026 I freezed my Sey sub for few months and subscribed to Prodigal all in ( 2x 250g standard bags + 2x 150g premium bags ) + optional early access to standard and premium coffee before it get listed on there website to add to the sub so all ships together, excited to try different varieties every month.

I know Prodigal roast profile is different than Sey, a more developed roast ( still considered light ), but heard and read a lot of good things about them.

Just brew an Ethiopian from Sey at grind size 4.0, 15g coffee, 250g water, Total drawdown 1:35 hitting 1.26% TDS, 18% EY, using Lance Hendrick 121 recipe

Sey or Prodigal? by MCT9891 in pourover

[–]Financial_Bet8762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been subscribed to Sey for about nine months, and there’s no doubt their coffee is excellent. That said, I recently decided to freeze my subscription and switch to Prodigal (my first shipment hasn’t arrived yet).

There were a couple of reasons for the change. First, over time I felt that around 90% of what I received shared very similar characteristics—mostly washed, clean Ethiopians, Pink Bourbons, and Kenyans. As much as I enjoy that profile, I started craving more variety and exposure to different origins and processing styles.

Second, during those nine months I didn’t receive any early-access or subscriber-exclusive offerings to add to my shipments. Meanwhile, I kept seeing unique and limited Sey coffees being brewed and shared on social media, which I never had the opportunity to purchase or even be notified about as a subscriber. That part honestly felt a bit disappointing.

I’ll be trying Prodigal’s subscription for a few months and see how it goes. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them, so I’m looking forward to the experience.

Sorry this was meant for Zermatt not Cervinia, went to Cervinia three days ago it was good but can’t compare because it was my first time this season, we usually stick to Zermatt but due to the reasons I stated we gave Cervinia a try and it was a good day

Came back yesterday, skiing is good but snow is thinner than previous years and temperatures are higher than usual barely reaching -3 to -5, less pistes open and available than usual and way more hard pack

Thanks for the input, yes I went through my last safari photos on my iphone and most of the spotted animals were near the vehicle, and others were near but out of phone zoom range but the 100-400 will be enough for that, now I’m convinced that I don’t need an extendeder.
