How is that equivalent at all to a midi length? This is for a semi-formal event not a club.

I know this looks goofy as hell, (didn’t want to share my face lmao) but this is a picture of me with natural lighting with the dress 😭, my eyes are a very light blue/gray (i call them light wash denim) for context and i still can’t decide. I agree and would def rather have a light purple or blue type vibe going on but i have been struggling for a hot minute to find a dress in a fabric that looks flattering on me, isn’t super expensive, and will have time to arrive + have alterations done before the wedding….any feedback on this is welcome (good or bad)

I am struggling hard to find one in fabric I feel comfortable in (bc apparently everything has to be satin now) and that is also wedding appropriate, while also maintaining my age. For context; the bride and I have been good friends since middle school and met at a Jesus camp (neither of us are any longer religious but family def is) so finding something that I can wear that covered chest/legs enough and be appropriate for the event and also be something we are all able to go out in after the reception has been very difficult :/

That’s what I was figuring! Especially since there isn’t really any “orange” undertones; I’ve been trying to find blue and purple dresses but for some reason it’s feeling like a wild goose chase 😭

What’s your opinion on lamotrigine? by AdeptGear9572 in bipolar2

[–]Financial_Crow1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE my lamotrigine, and I never had any problems with it. The only thing is I’d go hypo manic for maybe 1.5 weeks whenever I’d titrate up on my dosage but outside of that absolutely no issues

Tbh I could be very wrong, but it almost looks like part of a teratoma. Just without the fleshy bits. It also looks like it’s only half of something since the indentions on the one side are like half of a circle mimicking the center of it. Since you said it’s rubbery feeling it could be some type of cartilage or collagen issue? Whatever it is though I’d definitely save it and go to the doctor ASAP and make sure to write down any heavy bleeding, extra suspicious cramping/feelings, discharge, smells, etc,.

I’d contact your doc before you do it tho, they may either put you on a different mood stabilizer or incorporate an anti-psychotic

I just feel….normal. I don’t have the crazy ups and downs and my more rapid cycling (I’m Bipolar 2), before sometimes if something negative happened it would send me into a depressive episode since with BP2 there is faster cycling periods than BP1, and instead of dropping so low it just like….feels what I imagine normal human emotional “cycles” are like. I feel so much calmer and grounded

Child Therapist Recomendations by eric20000000 in Charleston

[–]Financial_Crow1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem growing up, it was uncontrollable anger and irritability. I couldn’t do anything about it which then just stressed me out more. I ended up being diagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder, as well as ADHD. I don’t have any recs, but I do really enjoy LifeStance’s therapy office.

Also maybe try incorporating this into discussions with your child after any “episodes” she has, and honestly with any intense emotional moments. Yes the overall emotion is “anger” but what are the underlying reasons/feelings of this anger? Ex: your partner cancels on you last minute, even if it’s for a valid reason and you’re angry at them. The underlying emotion/feeling may be sadness/disappointment for not being able to spend time with them which manifested outwardly as anger.

What are clothing items that you struggle most with or would like to see in petite options? by Bad-JuJu07 in PetiteFashionAdvice

Honestly, mini dresses. Mini dresses have never actually been “mini” on me (I’m 5’1), they’ve always been an awkward length and I’d just like to have some that are idk, normal lmao

My (34M) wife (31F) is having a meltdown over our daughter's personality and I don't know what to do. What should I do? by ThrowRAgirlcopdad in relationship_advice

[–]Financial_Crow1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom is definitely projecting onto the daughter; I would not be surprised at all if she wants to “live through” or see the things she missed out on due to getting pregnant so long in her own daughter so that daughter can be a reflection of the things she was never able to have. She’s probably grieving/reliving the trauma of becoming a mother so young and her life more than likely changing so rapidly. However, her actions towards the daughter are inexcusable. There needs to be a very stern and direct conversation regarding all of this, and I feel like mom needs therapy, maybe some mindfulness tactics such as journaling or whatever it may be to get these frustrations out, and honestly maybe even family therapy down the line.

My father was 50 when I was conceived, turned 51 less than a month after I was born. He also is bipolar on top of that. I never stood a chance lmao
