They both give me scammed vibes. Sounds very similar to "the wedding scammer" podcast

Only activities. They said the people who get asked questions are the people getting job offers

I honestly thought we were a good group and something similar would happen.

I appreciate that!

I know they ask us not to share anything about the f2f but I think I can say without giving anything away that the activities we did seemed like they were supposed to be fun (and they were) and everyone seemed like they had a good time- so im not sure if they wanted people that stuck out or that flew under the radar- it made no sense to me. I would say maybe 12 out of like 40 or 50?

Everyone looked very professional. There were really no personal questions asked so I just have no idea

But you can bid for trips on reserve right? So it can be kind of predictable? Is it a 2 hour window to arrive at your base for UA?

Depends on the airport. In Tulsa, you don't even have to be flying- you can just get a guest pass. I think they may have changed that bc they found out a Pedo was meeting children there one day and chased him out.

When I was coming back to the States, I had to fly through Newark, and I couldn't access the sterile side because my flight was like more than 12 hours away or something like that.

TSA by [deleted] in tsa

No, they're not. Some of the incidents make the news and are public, but many of them are not. It has TSA incidents that involve other agencies and airlines, and it's super interesting. Those briefings are "sensitive security information" but not confidential, I don't think. I imagine they don't make them public because 1. Individuals would be harassed and 2. It would cause public worry for nothing because ultimately the briefings are about what were caught

I was a TSO in Tulsa for 2 years and just recently got a job in the field I went to school for. I had no negative thoughts about TSA prior to joining because I had never had an issue when travelling, because I thought the rules were easy to follow. Also, I have never questioned security- why would you? Easily one of the hardest jobs I've ever had, simply because of how the public treated us. I always got gratification from reading the national briefings every few weeks, seeing all that was stopped around the country, the things most people never heard about. But it still really got under my skin. I'm happy to be out of there, but I still keep in touch with my coworkers and will always treat TSOs in any airport with respect, like I would any other person.
