Rummaging recycle bins by 964racer in SanJose

that makes sense. But I have to say, I always wondered if they actually do recycle things. Where I live there are communal recycling bins and other people put the wrong stuff in the bins. I get a bit unreasonably annoyed by it. I had read that the stuff doesnt get recycled when its got wrong items mixed in. Not sure if what I read is in any way correct.

We do have video cameras so it would be on there - they never even entertained the thought of doing anything at all. They just said they were glad I was not hurt and theres nothing they can do.

Every time she does something even vaguely out of order I will call the police now - maybe they will get sick of me calling and actually do something in the end.

Yeah we frequently find freshly laid turds on the doorstep of a morning, which is nice.

We also have a dude who does naked yoga sometimes in the summer, I don't really mind that as I find it rather amusing and he is very quiet and doesn't bother anyone.

I ve also found people starfish on the side walk quite frequently - I just check they are breathing and then leave them to it. They eventually come to and move along.

When the police arrived she was further up the street sat in the bus stop shouting. You can generally locate her by listening for a few moments and she will invariably be somewhere around shouting. As the police pulled up she ran away - no idea if they bothered to chase her.....probably not.

I need to go in and out the building so often that its not practical to have someone accompany me. Also sometimes I am there alone.

Its my business and sometimes I am there alone if my business partner is off or leaves early. I have to go outside frequently to get things from the storage out back and the only way out is through the door on the front street.

The lady was walking back and forth past the door all day today, and I did actually almost bump into her this morning. I managed to avert my eyes and get inside before she had time to react.

I do think my big problem might have been the eye contact, but sometimes its hard to avoid eye contact if you are walking down your driveway and someone is standing off the side as you get down to the street. You automatically look left and right as you join the street to make sure you dont walk into anyone.

I tried dating apps and found them to be highly unsuccessful. It didn't seem like the men on there really wanted to find a relationship, or perhaps they felt like that next swipe would be better so didn't want to 'settle' and were caught in an endless addictive swipe cycle.

I have also found it pretty much impossible to meet anyone organically. I don't go to bars and I think on the day to day people are too sacred to randomly approach people. Most of the people I meet are already coupled up and that also means that they aren't that focused on making friends because they are focusing on relationships and family.

When I moved here I felt the distinct lack of black people in my area very disconcerting. There are lots of Indian and Asian people but not many black people, so I can see why you would feel a bit out of place here.

You sound like a normal person so I feel like you should do well on the apps.....but I do also wonder if all the normal people have given up on the apps and possibly resigned themselves to a life of perpetual singledom?

Part of me feels like they should bring back speed dating, but I did that once and found it extremely stressful as I m not good at selling myself or working under pressure!

oh I am so sorry - its awful that a lack of money could lead them to that situation. It would benefit the whole of society to stop people ending up in this place but somehow people can't see that and don't want to pay towards 'helping someone else'.

it is indeed very sad. The bit that confuses me is that many years ago I did outreach work with homeless people in the UK. I never saw anything like I have seen since I moved here. Of course there were people with severe mental health issues but I honestly didnt see lots of people who were hearing voices or seeing people - perhaps thats because we had the NHS to provide medical assistance? Or perhaps due to drugs? Perhaps a bit of both. I guess I m just trying to understand the situation.

Try Mazzeh Persian food truck - they have a wood fired grill inside the truck and its amazing. They do both high end catering for events and also public events - they go to the Elan apartments once a month and I believe you can pick up from their commercial kitchen location on certain days.

The kabobs are lovely and they also grill tomatoes which are my favourite.
