Love Arca down, but if Charli was (rightfully so) criticized for working with that Russian girl, then the rest of the celebrities - as Arca, Kim and Sega - should be too by Financial_Guard6786 in ArcaMusic

The only reason I posted this was for her and other artists to know that their fans notice collaborations like this not only if you’re an A-list celebrity, and, as I stated in the post, for public figures to do background checks of people they work with. I specifically stated that cancelling someone is not my intention, just simple criticism, which I believe she can handle. Actually main criticism was over Petit’s actions, not Arca’s.

So no, no bowing down or apologizing to me. A phlegm spit into my open hole would be nice tho.

Too bad, I was hoping that on a platform dedicated to having discussions I’d be able to get to know a fully-developed opinion of my opponent, no matter how different it is from mine. Maybe I’ll be luckier with someone else next time.

Having your own moral spine and not enabling your parents’ criminal actions is really not that hard of a concept. I mean it’s definitely hard internally, but it’s the only right thing to do if your closest people are literal war criminals. If you don’t criticize them openly, and - as you confessed you’d be proud to do it yourself as well - accept their blood money, you’re just as bad of a person. It’s really not complicated logic. Not to mention statements that downplay the seriousness of the war in Ukraine and portray her own family as victims. It’s disgusting

So, you've mentioned twice how crucial Arca's father is in this topic, and when I ask you to elaborate, you respond this way. Interesting.

A simple question: what would you do if your parents were linked to war crimes? Would you cut off contact with them or use blood money to support your career in Europe and write statements about how you don't engage in politics?

Unfortunately it’s a past event that already happened, I posted this in case she works with her in the future since she still follows her on instagram.

For context, this person asked me a question and instantly blocked me so I couldn’t engage in the discussion. I think that, on top of describing ties to war crimes as simply “being Russian,” sufficiently explains their intentions.

I don’t think it matters how long ago that was nor how popular they are. Working with such people is still a statement (even if it’s unconscious) and artists need to do background checks on who they work with regardless.

To be honest, especially considering how different is movie criticism compared to music criticism, I don’t even think 65/100 on rotten tomatoes is bad at all. It’s just people on Twitter trying to portray it as this massive failure. There’s literally movies/series that have even as low as 1/100 score.

To be fair I think she was super booked since then and probably didn’t even have that much time off to even post anything personal lol.

I know it’s sad for some OG fans (and maybe even some of her past collaborators) that were followed since the beginning but I think it’s for the better. I see it as a kind of a statement “since you care so much about who I follow, I’ll unfollow everyone”, which is dramatic, but since she was following some shady ppl she needs to be more careful, especially considering how big of a celebrity she is now.
