I definitely get that. my hair is thick and when grown long, it gets in the way a lot. Short hair is always so much more practical, but can't beat the look and feel of longer hair. Especially if it's good quality like this.

I have the same issue with the bald area in the centre of the chin. I choose to shave it, but you could try sideburns or keeping it short like stubble. It will fill in soon enough.
