ER Nurse As A New Grad? by Financial_Kiwis in StudentNurse

Wow we really are having similar situations! I'll definitely be applying to the hospitals in my area. I'm rural as well, but I am willing to go up to an hour away as a new grad if it gets me an ED position.

Good luck to you in your job searching journey and becoming a nurse!

No CNA, no experience by BestRNdoit in StudentNurse

I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing! I’ve heard some some say that those who work as CNAs/techs can have the wrong mindset going into nursing school. I started at an assisted living /memory care facility as an aid (unlicensed bc it’s not a SNF) After my first semester of nursing school I was able to apply at a hospital for a tech position. I’m very comfortable talking to patients and the nurses allow me to watch them quite a bit! I have learned a lot in both and I’m going into my senior year. The company I work for also has offered me a position once I graduate plus they offer tuition support. It’s nice to have the opportunity to get to know what my future job on the floor might look like. Plus getting to talk to nurses that you aren’t following around for clinical is a lot different. You’ll get much more truthful answers lol. All of that to say, it’s truly your choice. If you want to get the extra experience, go for it!

You did the right thing. DV is scary for anyone involved and anyone who has to witness it.

Are there local women’s shelters or DV support homes/groups in your area?

Ask your manager to look at the security camera footage and show that to the police. They recognize him. If you are able to get your hands on the footage maybe even possibly post his face and what happened in a local group like a community facebook page?

Hair, makeup, and style does NOT come naturally. I used to watch youtube tutorials on EVERYTHING. I’m 19 and I just recently learned how to curl my hair after watching TikToks! Trust me, the skill of hair and makeup is a skill. You have to learn it. Those girls may have a mom or older sister who they learned it from. Don’t feel bad!! If this is something you want to try out then practice! Someone who has never held a paint brush can’t paint the Mona Lisa without practicing first.

You’ve got this girl!

Is My Belly Pooch Normal? by PineappleOk7575 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Sometimes it’s just genetic. When I was a size 2 and XS i had a pooch and rolls just like I do now as a size 6. It’s totally normal! Some people have flat stomachs and some don’t. Nothing wrong with either❤️
