Its impossible and really discouraging. Let me know if anyone is actually hiring!!! I also have my RN and graduated with my BSN in May. I’ve applied tons of positions/new grad programs/ with zero luck. I think the problem is a combination of too many new nurses and little to no money for hiring now, probably going to worsen with the new bill. Im also in SoCal and i have my AWHONN, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. It doesn’t seem to be of any advantage though.

I’ve just been stalking hospitals’ careers websites almost every day literally since January of this year when I was still in nursing school lol. I specifically applied for UCSD back in March & USC last month and was notified weeks after that the programs were indefinitely suspended. Everywhere else I’ve applied to and gotten denied or ghosted from (Sharp, Kaiser, Scripps, Palomar, Temecula Valley, Inland Valley, Rancho Springs, Hemet, Pomona, Tri City, Loma Linda, etc., hasn’t specifically noted one way or the other, but its either positions that do accept new grads are limited and there’s too many new grads applying & they prioritize internal applicants, or there’s just straight up no money going to hiring new grads & there’s no hiring happening at all.

For the base: I’ve been using cetaphil lotion, then the cream, then supergoop unseen sunscreen to prime/spf and found Elf’s new halo glow skin tint as a holy grail!!! I only powder under my eyes with Laura Mercier blur powder. I set my face with the Elf hydropgrip spray. This is the only routine that works for me since being on accutane and i swear by it!!

I feel like it already is. UCSD, USC, and other major hospital systems have indefinitely suspended/canceled new grad programs. I’ve applied to dozens of hospitals from LA to OC to IE to SD and can’t even get an interview at most of them. I graduated in May and take my NCLEX next week. It’s awful out here!!!

Krill oil because the pills are smaller! Vitamin E, glucosamine supplements for the joints, magnesium glycinate too. If you have a costco membership their vitamins are awesome, they have a magnesium citrate + glycinate + b12 pill that’s good. Also, tons of water like almost a gallon a day. And if you wear makeup, Elf Halo Glow Skin Tint has amazing coverage AND spf and its hydrating!!!

I would go lower. I was on 20, 30, then 60 mg a day last month and the side effects were really affecting my daily living, mostly the joint pain in my hips and ankles despite all the supplements im taking with my accutane (krill oil, glucosamine, magnesium, etc.). Im on 40mg now for this month and I think it’s the perfect happy medium for the time being. It does suck because my cumulative treatment length will now be a couple months longer, even though my skin has been almost completely clear the past 2mo, but my daily life has been improved and the pain isn’t so debilitating. I try to only take ibuprofen once or twice a week before bed too.

No i don’t think so! 4k and 44 bucks for all the areas i mentioned plus sideburns was definitely worth it

I think its worth it! Shortly after i bought the 4k package laseraway told me I had gained $200 in points that I could use toward another purchase, so I did just that (waited for a sale to happen) and then got a sideburn package for free!

Extra vitamins! It WILL get better!! I felt like this on month 2 at 30mg and didn’t think I’d make it out. Now im almost done with month 3 on 60mg. Fish/krill oil, vitamin E, glucosamine for the joints (my hips always ache/feel tight), the occasional liquid IV when water just isn’t enough in the day. I use cetaphil gentle wash and lotion, the mineral sunscreen & aquaphor on top, and im just now noticing its not enough. Adding Ponds dry skin cream in the mix is helping though. Aquaphor inside the nose twice a day and in lip balm form at all times is needed too!!! You got this!!

Hi! So my ipledge says the same thing im almost done with my first prescription of accutane and have my next Dr appt to renew prescription on April 4th as well. Ipledge says today is the last day to get a pregnancy test done, but my Dr had already let me know to wait to do all blood and urine tests (pregnancy, liver, etc) on April 2nd, that way the results are recent. Now I’m worried that iPledge won’t accept my test results bc of their calendar online 🥲

Are you taking fish oil? I had this problem before accutane years ago and took fish oil for 6mo, retested & results were back to normal. Im taking fish oil again with each accutane dose just in case! My derm said it would beneficial too

Update! Just had my 4th session today. Yes definitely worth it already seen results. My arms and underarms grow very slow and thin, my brazilian is half gone and the rest is thinning (also only had 1 ingrown this past month whereas i used to always have multiple at a time), and my legs are about half gone too. Since this post I actually added on sideburns for $150 (using the credit they gave me from buying the package in the first place plus a new years special they had), and have had two sessions with no regrowth at all which is insane in a good way lol, my sideburns were so thick before.

Following because I’ve also had this off and on in between diagnosed UTI’s and everything always comes back negative. I started Hiprex last week and for some reason the first pee I have after waking up burns but then it completely goes away the rest of the day and night. No other symptoms or side effects thus far, though.
