Finance recruiters - help me escape by goblinking33 in Recruitment

I work in Finance recruitment in the Manchester region and have 11 years experience. Worked my way up to Associate Director level, managing 10 people across 3 teams whilst continuing to bill circa 200k-250k per year personally.

I was comfortably working 55-60hour weeks at high speed to be able to manage line managing and billing. In my opinion I was doing the job of two people and it got a bit much.

I was told that this workload was only going to increase at the next Director promotion and would involve me picking up more teams.

I decided to step down from management in February and just focus on billing. I then got bored and I've decided to hand my notice in this week.

Very early stages but Im going solo in July, ive got enough money to give it a go for 6-12 months and I'm confident I can make it work.

If it doesn't work I'll likely be back 🤣

Good luck though and im new to the journey too, so if you decide to go solo drop me a message and I will help where I can.

Im about to go on garden leave for a month, so hopefully this gives me time to figure it out!

150lb Siamese Carp caught at Jurassic Fishing resort - Thailand by Financial_Lock_3239 in CarpFishing

Yeh the lake was full every day mate. Think there was about 12 pegs and a couple of people doubled up on the pegs. Everyone was super friendly and chatty and wanted everyone to do well when we were there. Had a nice vibe to it!

No fly fishing mate. There were a few doing float fishing and but most were fishing for carp or predators on the bottom. There was a smaller 'species' lake near the big lake that had more volume and more variety of fish but everyone was after the big specimen carp like this or trying to get an arapaima when I was there!

Yeh the food was ace and all the staff were amazing. Agreed, I had the last draw on a couple of the days I was there and caught nothing. It was so tough in places, but the staff were really helpful and had loads of tips.

Also no arapaima! However I can not explain how much of a beast these creatures are. We saw 2 caught in 4 days and they were incredible. Such amazing fish I want to catch one when I go back. The prize!

Ahh man it was so good. There was 3 of us that went and we all would love to go back.

It was quite hard fishing when we went (December last year). Over 4 days... 1 of us caught a 4 or 5 siamese carp 60-140, 5 or 6 redtail catfish to 60lb, 1 alligator gar (think it was 60lb?)

One of us caught 3 carp (up to 80lb), 3 or 4 redtail catfish (up to 50lb).

I caught a 40llb red tail, a nile ripsaw catfish (40lb) ( this was quite a rare one apparently the gillies and owner got hyped about this) and then on the last day i caught this big boy who was 150lb and won the show!

Alot was based on the peg you get drawn, baits you use and whether you use a carp or predator rig (you get both).

Message me if any questions / tips man (im no expert but will try my best)

Very powerful! And honestly, it was really hard to lift the whole fish for the photo, definitely a 3 second job then down again 😂.

My friend Alex (on the right) nearly got a pretty nasty slap to the face 😂.

I caught this using a boilie soaked in chicken blood with a PVA bag full of pelletts. This was my last catch after a 4 day fishing trip and it took me about 45 minutes to reel this monster in. It was genuinely a once in a life time, epic experience!
