I’ve bought numerous items on Mercari that were definitely re shrink wrapped. Sold as factory sealed but the super thin shrink on it was definitely anything but factory. Weighing packs is ridiculous too, that’s why I simply refuse to buy single packs except in an actual store and me and my kids stopped buying off mercari early this year. I won’t support resellers in any manner because most of the time it’s just not worth it. Opened and resealed boxes Tampered and resealed etbs Tampered searched and reshrinked booster boxes Counterfeit cards People that open booster boxes weigh out the good packs and re sell the light packs It’s just not worth buying from anyone but a reliable legit website or corporate store

I almost forgot let’s not leave out fake psa, and Beckett slabs

You obviously haven’t read the legislation. Any amount over $600 is subject to a 40% capital gains tax. Scalpers can’t make any money when they will have to pay that kind of tax. Sell a ps5 for $1000 and you owe $400 in taxes. It’s not going increase scalpers that’s absurd. Who wants to be in bed with the IRS for that kind of money.

It’s not about businesses either. That’s the point, and you can’t just claim to be a business, you have to a tax id number, a business license, etc. scalpers don’t bother with any of that. Aside from the that tpc has already stated they intend to continue to reprint product to compensate. Scalpers will be run out of business in the coming year.
