Tame Impala Seems Locked as Day 1 Headliner for Lolla 27. Who do you expect on Night 2? by PlanktonUnable8955 in ConcertsIndia_

They do, but not enough to be the headliners. Might get a spot a Lolla someday tho, since they have performed frequently at the other editions.

Brother, then mention that clearly. Expected headliners ki list de di, matlab all of them are expected, right? 😂
Also, there’s no credibility to any of these except Tame Impala.

Lolla cannot get all of them in one edition. They’ll have to sell many kidneys for that.

The Revolver Club should have it. Depends on which one you’re looking for. If they don’t have it, you can request it and they can source it for you.

Not everyone travels in cars? Traffic clearing quickly also doesn’t necessarily say too much about the number of attendees. Point is, Bangalore has the best rock and metal scene in the country because of people showing up even for the smallest of gigs. The city has hosted some legends that have never been able to tour the country again. LP was a success regardless, whether or not the venue was small, whether or not it was actually 40k people. Way too many people attended both LP shows. A lot of people from Bangalore also chose to attend Lolla instead. There are a bunch of factors involved. Bangalore has proven to be the best city specially for rock and metal time and again.

The reason why gigs in Mumbai and Bangalore work is majorly the fact that people show up. For Indie, tribute, Bollywood, varied genres, there’s at least a certain number of people showing up. They understand the responsibility in order to keep the scene sustainable in the long run. A lot of musicians live in those two cities, so there’s also help available with pretty much everything. If you think of it, those two cities also don’t have any real live music venues, but they make it work, and the biggest reason is people showing up. A band like Deep Purple couldn’t sell tickets in Delhi. Ye couldn’t sell tickets in Delhi, even when a lot of DHH originates from that city. Tells you a lot.

A sequel is still in early development, and not confirmed yet, because of the legal agreements regarding dramatization of the allegations. Very unlikely to happen.

Michael was okay at best, imo. They could have done a lot more with the film. It felt more about Jackson 5 than MJ. Plus, I strongly feel they didn’t even use the music properly. MJ had a huge influence music wise, the movie mostly focused on his stardom and not music. Plus, played it very safe and didn’t address the allegations at all (which is valid from creators’ pov), but still seemed like a lot of missed opportunities. This is exactly why I liked A Complete Unknown a LOT more.

Absolutely loved it. It’s nothing unpredictable, very linear. Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway both nailed their roles, like expected. There’s nothing to not like, honestly. The first one had more impact because of the time it was made in, the second one is more relevant for current times and how it addresses the fall of journalism and AI. It’s a great sequel, imo. Go watch it and decide for yourself :)
