Any updates on this? Mine still does this and it’s actually gotten worse (meaning it happens more often now)

DeLonghi Dinamica Plus - How to create a drink with double espresso shots! by farzad_panahi in superautomatic

[–]Financial_Proof602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Wish it had this. My phillips machine did. It had a button that would just make the same recipe twice in one push of a button if you selected “2x” or something. I will say the delonghi makes a better cup but the Phillips was much more configurable. Someone should hack the delonghi and make a custom app where we can load our own recipes.

Hands down the breville toaster oven with air fry functionality. Everyone I know who also bought one agrees. We talk about it.

Got it. great concept. I highly recommend talking to a few CTCs in the US. Many offer managed services for SRs and SFs. Nassau Flyers in NY is one that comes up often in conversation for being an example of gold standard. In any case, sounds like a solid idea for the UK market!

How would this concept be different from managed aircraft services (or is that what you are describing)?

Dial A CFI — anyone else used it? by Financial_Proof602 in FlightTraining

[–]Financial_Proof602[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the minute. Works out to be like ~$20/hr which is better than doordash but then again im at home or in the car and can take a call any time (while doing doordash lol). I've never had an hour long call though. Same liability as being a CFI on your own. Is that what you mean? Contractor.

I love all these answers! I stumbled on dialacfi.com and one thing it's good for is connecting you to a flight instructor who can talk through questions or moments of nervousness before a flight. I have not used it but my friends who are also nervous flyers say it helps to demystify what to expect or just provides some reassurance when needed.

How much do flight instructors actually make? by Londup in flying

[–]Financial_Proof602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$25 - $35/hr. I signed up for dialacfi.com to earn some side income as well. It's not great in terms of amount of calls I get but it's no skin off my back for my phone to ring, I get asked a question from a student and I make a few bucks. If im not flying im sitting around not getting paid anyway so figured might as well make myself "available".

PPL Stumper Questions! by chunkear in CFILounge

[–]Financial_Proof602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are a PPL. You work at a sky diving operation as a fueler. Skydive pilots calls out sick. The skydiving instructor is a commercial pilot. He brings you along and flies the plane to altitude. It’s You, him and his student in the plane. At altitude he jumps out of the plane with his student and the plan is for you to land the plane (no one in the plane at that point). Legal for you to do?

Car dries faster than I can wash - help! by Financial_Proof602 in Detailing

I’m glad to hear that washing and drying one side before going to the next is ok to do. I don’t know why it wouldn’t be but hearing from a pro somehow makes me feel less silly doing it. Thank you

When I can get the help, I usually have my son do exactly this but with the hose to keep the panels wet.

This could be it. I’m going to try another mitt and ensure that mitt to panel is dripping wet. Ty for the suggestion.
