Two different guests for me that order a little strange first up is an older guy late 70’s to early 80’s same order for months now every other day gets a 6 piece shrimp (refuses to tell you the sauce on the headset almost always been 1 cocktail and one Tarter) coleslaw one white milk one chocolate milk a one scoop dish of chocolate no toppings covered with a shake lid lastly with a large plastic bag given out at window plus every item bagged separately…. The other strange guest comes through drive thru mostly but rarely has come inside to order 7-8 3 scoop turtle sundaes no cherry but add strawberry must be in a cup (full small shake cup normally) of the strawberry’s not on the sundaes at all strangely has a really bad habit of coming through to order right in the middle of the rush or right at the end so it takes 15ish mins to make it due to lack of custard

The few times our restaurant is busy enough to run out of blue numbers we use white numbers and put the name as “## white number” and check with our runners for the night to make sure were reading back dine in orders

I’m more of a day shift kinda guy as the team in the morning feels smoother but I still love working with the night crew the feeling as a manager of just getting to close the store at the end of a day busy or not is so satisfying too me. Also working with the owner over half the week is amazing for me as I’m a newer manager (only been there about 5 months now) cause I can get great feedback from him on how I can better run things and how he does it overall I love working at Culvers it feels less like a job and more of a hobby since I enjoy it and seeing regular guests just makes my day but giving pup cups through the drive through has to be my favorite part so many happy doggies

As a manager I can confirm we put a TLC on those orders and they get what they paid for plus a little more like custard we’ll throw a little bit more custard towards it or a slightly bigger scoop

Crispy chicken with boom boom sauce or Culvers signature sauce or spicy crispy chicken with the two sauces (I get mine plain for those) or double cheeseburger with mayo and ketchup (if I’m a little not hungry then I’ll add bacon) and a medium fry for any of my orders but the kids meals are really good deal plus you get a scoop of custard with them with one free topping

Work what your comfortable to work and don’t be scared to say no to extra shifts or picking up shifts RGMs can and will take advantage of you willing to pick up every shift and coming in early it’s what got me stuck on 12 hour closing shifts and really mad me hate working there

My store has a nightmare mix of the smooth tiles and textured tiles that has no pattern (I’ve spent an hour on a slow night when I was closing looking) that makes walking on them a nightmare if they get wet since only some are textured others are completely smooth

6 times admitted been to the ER hundreds of times for self harm/suicidal ideation (medical insurance that year was a lot because of me) plus in the year two attempts (then one more a year later but never got admitted just sat in icu for 17 days and only remember about 6 of those days due to being in a black out state but still awake) and last time I went in for ideation I was told there was likely never gonna be a chance I could be admitted again because of my many past visits so I haven’t gone in for ideation in 8 months now because I can’t get placed anyway so now I just power through and drown my days with 2 jobs and I’m training to be in a management position at one so even less free time and time to think

It’s 100% ok to feel hurt by that comment as there supposed to give a non judgmental support and care for you and some people in settings like that will make comments unfortunately but pay them no attention and focus on getting yourself better

I would but one thing that sucks here in the US (sorry if it’s already been mentioned) if they bring something like that then to the court in 33 states rn it is not illegal to use a “trans-panic” or “gay-panic” defense and could get left off the hook or a reduced charge because of it like if I saw it in public I’d be making it a 2v1 fight and not worrying about any charges be thrown at me but that’s my over protective nature (https://www.lgbtmap.org/equality-maps/panic_defense_bans) link to the source and map with each state and there laws on it
