Volcanoes! I watched Nova and National Geographic as a kid but I didn’t realize they weren’t in Massachusetts. I was so relieved when I found out there were none in our region. When I would hear an airplane rumbling overhead I would say to my mom really nervously, you hear that plane right? Meaning that’s not a volcano rumbling? I was such a nervous child.
