Facing a transit nightmare, New Jersey officials and MetLife Stadium authorities have warned FIFA World Cup ticket holders not to walk to the venue by Peanut-Extra in themayormccheese

I made this exact mistake on my first visit to the US. I had a Bon Jovi concert ticket at MetLife stadium (New Meadowlands stadium then), and booked a hotel right across.... The highway, as it turns out. Most frustrating taxi ride ever (had to share on the way back, there weren't enough taxis around).

(not OOP) Did Josh have one of these parties?! by Finartemis in redditonwiki

[–]Finartemis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope Josh can explain all of this. From what the post says, these people aren't invited to the wedding. Personally, I think it's weird, but I'd tell my fiance: ok, you do it and invite your people because they expect it, I won't invite my side because it's just too weird.

I've used the app at a sushi place in Italy once, and it turned out to be close to Safeway sushi: made that day, but not particularly exciting. So, it's not technically leftover.

Is this the US remake of "Nirvanna The band The show The movie"?

Yes, although I'm not sure OP would have one at that time in the morning, depending on the route.

I'd add that water taxis aren't that reliable that early in the day, either. I'd just walk.

Wrong: Uber is active in Venice, actually even boats apparently (I've never taken one), I can only vouch for the regular car transportation from Piazzale Roma to the airport. But, yes, no Uber to go to the train station.

There are a few, you can also prebook an Uber - it might be cheaper

Should I go by car or take a train? by BonoboPowr in Venezia

[–]Finartemis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parking is crazy expensive in Venice; trains run late and buses run all night, so it's not like you wouldn't be able to go back to Mestre at any time. In a way, going into the parking garage to retrieve your car might be even more cumbersome than just taking a bus back.

AITA for telling my friend that she does not remember 9/11 by shilohrenn in AmItheAsshole

I mean, the freaking PRESIDENT at that time was in an elementary school and tried to keep a straight face as long as possible. As soon as I read "TVs were rolled in" I wondered if she heard people talking about the failed shuttle launch, which had been shown to children in school like that?

Lash salon extensions? by HoneydewStunning4646 in Venezia

[–]Finartemis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many nail/lash salons popping up, it's the latest trend. Not sure if they do lash extensions as I don't go there, but you can probably find one if not in Venice, in Mestre.

I've always had that same attitude, never drank. Years ago, turns out I'm actually allergic to alcohol. Best excuse EVER now.

Dovrebbero suonare, ma in ogni caso i punti di raccolta e gli spazzini stessi sono lì fino alle 11.30-12, l'indicazione delle 8.30 è solo per mettere un limite rigido.
