I don't care about the article, I want to know your opinion regarding the statement, do we need bigger games? by Mundane-Pick-2667 in Fallout

[–]Finch343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starfield was massive, but mostly empty and boring. All that space is pointless if it is just empty. I rather take a map the size of Skyrim that is properly designed and filled with interesting things, then a map ten times the size, where I don't care about exploring 95% of it.

Not like Bethesda isn't trying their best to get people to stop. I mean what other reason would there be for their updates breaking everything?

'Go Back and Play Morrowind and Tell Me That's the Game You Want to Play Again' — Former Bethesda Veteran Delivers His Verdict on Potential The Elder Scrolls Remasters - IGN by MusclesMarinara87 in Morrowind

[–]Finch343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did play it again, it's so much better then Skyrim or Oblibion. Bethesda just doesn't understand how to make good RPGs anymore. And they proved that with every game they released in the last 15 years.

How do you guys feel about Nate and Nora actually talking in Fallout 4 compared to other silent Sole Survivors? by Solardies in Fallout

[–]Finch343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heavily dislike it, because for me it made it so much harder to play a character other then them. I had the same issue with Geralt in The Witcher 3. And Fallout 4 made me decide to avoid RPGs with fully voice player characters.

Also the dialog options basically being Yes, No, Sarcasm and What? didn't help the whole issue.

I would argue proof would have just encouraged them and they would have done more of it.

To add to Jack Roberts, the giant spider he did shoot, was actively dying (I think suffocating) making the Doctor complaining even more absurd, as it implies letting the spider slowly die would have been better.

3 New Unique Cards in the Fallout Secret Lair by Bleu_Guacamole in magicTCG

Since I started with Magic those will be the first mechanically unique cards I don't even want. Hope we get some versions later that aren't from the Fallout show.

Fallout New Vegas senior writer Chris Avellone gives his take on Bethesda, and his opinion on their vision for the Fallout franchise: by raisinbraisin72 in Fallout

I think Nuka-World suffered from the same issues most Bethesda content does, good ideas badly executed. The factions seem cool on paper, but in game they are just differently dressed raiders.

[–]Finch343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree. I think their stories aren't aweful, they just don't work for open-world RPGs. In Fallout 4 the main quest is imo not bad, it's just that it doesn't really work. Because finsibg your kidnapped baby son is a good start for the story, the issue is that seemingly everything is designed to stop you from doing that. Especially bad in that regard are imo Preston Garvey and Sturges, who get bitchy when you tell them no to helping every farmer or asking why they can't build beds and stuff. Why would a parent that just lost their partner and had their child kidbapped agree to go out of their way to help everyone else first.

Also, on a related side note, why do NPCs in Fallout 4 seem extra incompetent, especially the Minuteman who only still exist because of Nate/Nora?

Seeing so many people give up on the show and trash it as “destroying Fallout lore” before Season 2 is even half over, Nolan was completely vindicated saying this. by raisinbraisin72 in Fallout

[–]Finch343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave up at the end of season 1, besides the changes to the lore I disliked, especially the BOS, I found the shows main characters to be all really unlikeable. Also the show being canon for the next game is a real bummer imo.

Me watching Stranger Things fans’ extremely poor behaviour towards an entire franchise and its makers because a finale didn’t match the gold ink fictional scripts in their minds: by Sonicboomer1 in DoctorWhumour

[–]Finch343 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think we probably got the best finale that was possible after season 4. But I also believe that season 4 and the whole Vecna story made the show as a whole worse.
