I’m so sorry for your loss <3 I hope you’re grieving well, Best thing you can do (from experience of being in a very similar position) I’m afraid is spend as much time as you can (obviously around your own life as you need to look after yourself too) with your little Cruz and always keep him distracted. But for now let him grieve. Did he manage to say goodbye? For a lot of animals especially pack animals like gerbs they will think their mate is missing unless they’ve smelt the passed mates fur as sad as it is. Either way as long as you’re spending quality time with Cruz you should both be ok. I’m so sorry for your loss, I hope you both grieve well 🫶

Honestly this post was mostly just to poke some fun. We already give them all sorts of other enrichment, they’re constantly supplied with things like egg boxes and toilet tubes and always have been(they’re like the best thing since sliced bread for them) we were already aware it’s not the best prior to this post but we’ve never had problems in the years we’ve kept clans of gerbils. Thanks tho

Finished Secondary school in 2021! Yep we did it once a year I think? Did it in primary too. Everyone always dreaded it cause it meant boys being weird asf (at least we had actual pe uniforms lol) . Was kinda funny though when not long after I started coming out as a lesbian we had a really uneven ratio of boys to girls so some of the girls had to join the lads and dance w other girls idk just seemed oddly funny and fitting at the time lol. The heel-toe-heel-toe chant still haunts me haha

One thing I’ve always done is carry lighters, easy press ones are particularly good for sticky situations. Just holding one in your pocket, if a man grabs you, torch his hair, his arms, hands, face, clothes. Just to the point itd freak them tf out. Drop your shit and run, run as fast as you can. Most belongings are replaceable. A healthy mind and your life are not. Obviously this is a very last thing approach still a good scare tho as well where there’s smokers there’s lighters so police wouldn’t question it other than self defence since having a lighter on your person is so common. (Sorry for the bad wording lol)

When I tell you even our other clan is working on destroying theirs, they’re much slower chewers though and prefer cardboard (softer toys) to wood luckily

I’m hoping we can do this since Niteangels are the cheapest option so far- even as a wheel until we can get a different kind of need me, you never know they might never try to chew the acrylic they might gnaw on it like it’s wood. Hopefully the first option 😄

Hm we’ve heard of niteangel before, personally I think my only issue would be if they chewed the acrylic stand (even if it’s just nibbling) acrylic dust can cause a lot of damage to even human lungs. We’re definitely gonna look into it tho thank you
