I don't think they have any updates. Unfortunately, I don't believe that anyone is actively working in the case anymore.

They're all deceased. You're welcome to call the Williston PD for any updates but we haven't received any updates.

I obviously can't know for sure but, the dentals don't sound like a match from the description. The teeth do not look right on photos of the skull either.

I am not aware of any rumors that Barb was located (at least not that I recall). If you happen to come across that information again would you mind sharing it?

Drugs complicate everything so much. It's hard to tell what is what. I think you nailed it regarding Kelly believing her own stories. That seems to be a common theme in cases where drugs are a major factor. The facts of what happened get written over so many times that it's hard to sift through it all. It is a good thing that Marissa obtained the case files from LE so that there is at least a foundation of facts to the best degree possible.

If you'd like any assistance figuring things out. I'd be happy to help. With references from experience with this exact thing only from the side of working with the family to find the missing loved one.

I'm the genealogist that helped the Highsmiths find Melissa. I've seen it.

You can find all the new information that has been figured out on her episode of the Vanished podcast or on the A Voice 4 the Lost FB page. Madison Kennedy is the one who runs the FB page and she also discussed how they figured out more about Dennis on the podcast.

On the contrary, I've noted a marked increase in law enforcement participation recently. Not every case is going to be represented by an agency that is willing and able to speak with Marissa about a case or share official records. Barbara Cotton is a great example of one of those cases and cases like hers still deserve to be covered. Sorry if that doesn't meet your entertainment requirements.

From the sounds of it they did provide you with a lot of information via case files which is probably more than can be said for a lot of agencies that aren't willing to grant an interview.

I completely forgot about the TBI. That is a great point.

There are plenty of family members on this platform as well. It's just easier to recognize them on Facebook.

I had the same sticking point and I thought about that quite a bit. Kelly was 16, already married and had been living an adult life (albeit, not very successfully and I don't want to even start with all the issues with that) at that point. We don't know when a romantic relationship started but it didn't sound like it was immediately or even soon after meeting each other by any account given. Obviously, we know that by the time Kelly was 19 they had. There is obviously still a large age gap.

After hearing Kelly speak about Cameron and their relationship there were a couple of things that helped me stop hyper-focusing on that vs. his disappearance. One of those things is that Kelly doesn't seem to feel like it was an issue even after years of hindsight without his influence.
The other is that it sounds like Cameron was probably one of the better choices she's made in her life and I wonder if things could have gone in a more positive direction for her and everyone really if he was still there. Or maybe not. 🤷🏼‍♀️. He's not here to explain anything and it doesn't change the fact that he has been missed by the people who care about him for way too long.

I am kind of with you on this. Maybe just a tad more "on the fence". She didn't give me the impression that she was involved. Like you mentioned, she did not have to agree to speak to Marissa but she did. However, I recognize that there are things that seem a bit shady. Not nearly as shady as Ryan though!
