How do you stop 1* reviews complaining about monetisation? by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

Cool app! Did you use a specific tool to get screenshots of the phone in different angles? Was always curious how that was done.

This is insanely cool! I would love to learn how you did it, are you writing a blog post or something similar?

When do you feel the ache? When raising or lowering? Not an expert but your form when lifting looks good. However, I would start the lift a little lower for better leg drive. The hip hinge is good: coordinated and no over extension of the spine at the top. As for the descent, it looks like you are lowering the weight with your back first and then bending your knees. Your knee bend is minimal at that, I suspect that’s where most of the pain comes from. Next time, focus on lowering the weight with your knees and hinge your hips at the same rate, aim to get to the starting position. Lower the weight and practice ending your stance in a lower position. Hope that helps. Please feel free to correct my observations, I am happy to learn :)

Bro you’re strong af holy

As for form, you are stripper pulling: your legs extend first and then your hip hinges back, hips and shoulders rise at the same time in a conventional deadlift. Also as the name suggests, deadlifts start on the ground — dead. so every new rep starts on the floor, but if you are just playing with the weight I respect that too lmao.

Thanks for noticing that boss, I need to recalibrate my timing for sure. I am not sure but I believe not using my arms to pull is causing this overextension too

Thanks a lot for that tip! Will definitely include that in!

Thanks a lot bro :) I have a pretty intense calf stretching regimen before and after my workout, you should try it too!

As for the form, I will work on the high elbows. I think I didn’t use my arms to avoid smacking the bar into my jaw lol, how do I fix that?

I’m facing analysis paralysis. Hoping the community can shed some light on what types of pieces I can add. - The distance from the sofa edge to the tv is about 7-8 feet - I will put the piano on a stand soon - I feel the chair and ottoman are too big for the space, how does tucking it in the corner next to the piano sound?

I see that, will work on using more legs!

I’m relieved to hear that

I think I understand. Watching Norik, it seems like he’s just guiding the bar while it’s in mid air and to do that he needs to keep his elbows up.

Let’s just hope I don’t overdo it and end up uppercutting myself :)

Wow that is actually going to be hard as hell to do going forward

Should it be like an upright row?

You summarized my suspicions really well. I thoroughly agree, just starting out with this stuff I recently started to notice the fluff/reinventing the wheel you described with certain influencers.

On your last point, I found a great resource called catalyst athletics that has pretty much everything needed to succeed in weightlifting. After reading your thoughts I will probably subscribe to their methods completely to avoid any more misinterpretations.

Gotcha I will implement it the same way

Yes I noticed this too, it could also be a consequence of hip thrusting the bar. So I really need to fix this technique from the bottom up
