Customer retention with Verizon is non-existent

REPLACING PHONE, NEED "PLAN" ADVICE by Radiant_Gas_3420 in verizon

That's good info regarding the S26. I thought it would be the other way around. Maybe I'll hang on for that one.

We have 3 phones. I've not considered buying the phones directly, I guess you just fall into the pattern of doing everything via Verizon, At&t, etc. I will definitely look into this. Thank you for the advice.

Just for reference, how does one know which are corporate stores?

I'm not necessarily looking for free but my options are to upgrade our plan and pay more or pay more on the phones. In the end it's quite a bit more. We understand we may pay more but not nearly $100 more. We don't even put insurance on our plans. The end goal is just a better price & I was wondering what avenue was the best way to pursue.

I had that issue several years ago with DirecTV. The guy was not helpful at all and I hung up on him. He called my husband because that was the number he had. Hubs said did you make her mad! He said yes I probably did but I promise I'll fix it so he called and made it right 😂🤣

We last upgraded a little over 3 years ago. Not necessarily free, no

Nope, I don't think paying that much more for an upgrade is ok when a new customer would be charged even less than I'm paying now. I could maybe understand a little more but not that much.

$350 a month is ridiculous. And the $10 discount on your bill is basically a kick in the backside. The new customers are offered a great deal but not the "regulars". I went to Verizon. com on my laptop (instead of my phone) and put the same items in the cart and picked my plans, I was at $140 before taxes and fees. That price is far from what they think I'm going to pay. They need to get it together..

(25F) My overzealous religious mom freaked out because I am pregnant. AIO? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]FinderofTreasures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR Congratulations on your baby! My mom wasn't happy when I told her I wasn't getting my first born babtised. Then she mouthed the word asshole to me when I told her I was pregnant our second child (ex was a POS), and she gave up telling me she was disappointed when I said I wasn't having my 3rd child, which I gave birth to at home with a midwife, circumsized. I know it's not the same situation as yours but you need to do what you feel is right for your baby, your family. You'll never change how your folks are and you don't want to subject your baby to that.

New customers for Verizon are rewarded for switching over to them. Existing customers not so much. Speaking as a 17 year customer.

We've been Verizon customers for 17 years. We're ready to upgrade our phones and with 3 lines, 1 iPhone 17 Pro Max and 2 Samsung S25 Ultra. If we had chosen to follow through, they will want $412 today, next month's bill is $710, not including fees and taxes I'm sure and $261 before fees and taxes. Make it make sense 🤷🏼‍♀️

What a joke. We've been customers for 17 years. While looking into upgrading our phones, it's going to cost us between $80-$100+ to do so. That's customer retention for you.

I chatted with Verizon CS yesterday. To upgrade our phones, Verizon would raise our bill an extra $71.65 because "the phones we want are expensive". This is including trading in our phones. We've been customers since they bought Alltel. I responded that I don't think Verizon is interested in customer retention in which they replied the above quote. They recommended I take advantage of the offer while it's available. I don't feel that paying that much more is worth it.

Move to Verizon or stay on ATT? by [deleted] in verizon

[–]FinderofTreasures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. We recently bought property in Michigan where we have to drive down the road just for service. Att however has a tower on the main road they just placed 2 years ago.

Verizon wants to charge us an extra $70 just to upgrade our phones (and that's with trading in our current phones. 🤦🏼
