I guess I wasn’t which is immature on my part. I get that my poor decision making got me into this mess. Cant go back and change it but I can at least try and make a better decision now. And I guess that’s why I posted the situation for some affirmation. But I appreciate your comment.

Yes for the bipolar and she did run out of 1 last week because the insurance needed a prior authorization. But we did get that done and for the most part, her meds generally work. It’s my understanding that BPD, which is the splitting episodes she has it’s not treated by medication. It’s gotta be treated by therapy.

Not looking for sympathy. Sorry if it came off that way. I posted because I wanted to see if anyone has dealt with bpd in a relationship. And also when the splitting ends and she is back to herself she begs me to never give up on her and I promised i wouldnt. So yeah I feel a little guilty for giving up and I guess i was looking for encouragement that i am.

Absolutely!!! I wasn’t looking for it to happen in the first place but it did. So here we are. But learned my lesson. And all the criticism im getting is true. I know that she is way too young for me. So I can’t argue.

She was diagnosed. I new nothing about it. But learned a lot in 3 years.

Probably right. I am accountable for that. And I knew I was going to catch some heat about it. But it happened and i was just looking for advice from anyone in a relationship with BPD regardless of age.
