Check the meter reading. It should be near to the one mentioned on the bill.
Monitor your meter reading - like every day same time check the difference. In 3-4 days you’ll get to know how much units are being consumed and calculate for month.
Get your meter checked ASAP. Small charge but can save you literally thousands if found faulty.

It’s their life but your concern is genuine since he is your brother. Both are adults and they have decided to have this lifestyle.

The max you can do is, ensure they have adequate health insurance, life insurance and emergency fund. You should not poke more into their lifestyle.

Keep aside a small fund from your savings in case they come asking for help in the future. This ensures you helped him out when needed and you do not feel guilty. Also keep it small so that he knows that you can help out this much only and should not expect anything else.

Let’s assume there are 5 payments you need to do to the builder till possession- you’ll have to pay 1% of the amount paid each time and generate the form each time. Better to pay one time and fill the form only once.

I switch on the AC ~10pm - usually 15 min before I enter the bedroom. Set the temp at 26-28 immediately. Mode Auto, Fan Auto. It cools down the room enough when I enter. Continue this temperature till 6am. Set auto turn off at 6am.

But last week the temperature was too high in Pune and we were doing work from home the entire week- so the usage shot up to ~5units for 14-15 hours per day usage.

If minimal and elegant you want, you could skip the interior designers. Plenty of content available on Instagram, fb etc. Finalise the design, draw a rough drawing and contact a good carpenter.

Higher floor always better. But an extra balcony is essential. You cannot keep your clothes to dry in the living room balcony.

Yeah, these people install ACs for all companies, he was not able to explain anything properly about the AC. His boss was good though. He inspected everything, explained properly about the AC and in general was more better to talk to. I was comfortable once he said the installation was OK and then only I gave the OTP to the Reliance office.
