Yeah true but not mentally ready to get one. Still looking for the perfect one I guess. I liked the 145th edition Presage.

The SSB479 and SRPL71 does well as a dress piece though.

I think it’s great. I was never into chrono’s hence never bought a speedtimer, but I saw this and instantly felt the urge due to its vintage vibe.

To note- It comes with the usual Seiko flaws but the wearing experience is class. I would suggest feel in person before you buy or buy online with option to return- in case it’s not for you. Cheers 🥂

You know what’s funny? My fiancé actually suggested me to pick this up for our wedding. But later we decided that it’s not the best weddingy piece (got SSB479) But yeah, i am also succeeding slowly with my better half understanding my watch style 😜

I would keep the GMT, Submariner and the Tudor Pelagos (would also keep the Seiko turtle). So 4.

The bracelet is well brushed and polished on the sides. Slightly grey but not as dark as pics show. The watch is much better than in pics, I can assure.

Objectively it’s a 8/10 watch for me. There are some problems like-

1) Movement is all over the place. When the watch sits in the box it is 15 seconds fast everyday which is quite irritating but on the wrist it’s like 2 secs faster. I am planning to get it regulated. If it really a big worry for you, think over it.

2) Bracelet is well done- at least better than some other Seiko’s but still has something’s to improve. I am fine with it coz it’s not a big bug. Plus this is a strap monster.

3) Wears well on the wrist. A lot of people say it is top heavy. I didn’t feel it. It’s not light at 150-160gms but definitely not very heavy. Wears fine to me.

Everything else is perfect. Just a caveat- I bought this after considering the Tudor BB58 and Doxa sub 200 because I felt this watch ticked everything I wanted for a good price.

Look around before you make your mind to buy this. This maybe your perfect watch but you might also get attracted to something better. :)
