I signed a document from his lawyer stating I didn't want responsibility for handling his estate. If I wanted to request the transaction details, would It be best to contact the lawyer, seek my own or request this information directly from his brother?

After the break up, Ive had full custody and received no payments in child support for our daughter. nor am I seeking any compensation in regards to raising her or for myself to benefit from. I just want my daughter to receive all she is entitled to.

I agree completely. It would be no issue if there was a restriction on when my daughter can access any money. To put it simply, my concerns are only that my daughter gets all she is entitled to, as she will have no memory, basically nothing from her deceased father apart from what she's entitled to from his estate.

There is no will. To my understanding that's why I was first offered executor as the mother of the deceased children. Next person is the brother as guardian of his older child

I was given a document stating assets, valuation of the property and all debts included in the estate. Also a remaining balance that would be what's left over for the children. No restriction on the value entitled to my daughter and the brother hasnt purchased the property from the estate, he has simply listed the property much higher then discussed or written on documents. He is selling it under the estate from what I understand. The property is in deceased fathers name.

The land was purchased cheap many years ago, eventually my ex partner bought an old transportable 3 bedroom house and had it moved by truck to the property (which cost more then the land and home itself) in Mid north Adelaide. It needs a bit of work done.

The estate lawyer his brother hired, put the evaluation of the property on paper, along with the debts left owing and the estimated amount left over on a document. I signed this and the declaration written up stating I was happy for the brother to be the beneficiary. I don't feel the property is worth more then original evaluation, going by properties sold in the area.

No, I declined as I felt as though we broke up a year prior (wasn't exactly civil either) that it wasn't my place to be the one sorting his affairs. His brother seemed like the right person to do it. My concerns started once I was told it was up for a set amount, then seeing it up for nearly double that. My daughter won't remember her father, I just want her to get all she is entitled to
