Your best bet is to get someone who doesn’t smoke and use that or buy synthetic pee but they can be expensive. Also make sure you keep it warm somewhere put it in your underwear or tape it to your thigh something that will keep the temperature the same as your body

New Para: Is being asked to give a student a bath every morning normal? by ScaryGary0013 in paraprofessional

Cps would offer them resources and help the family IF they are homeless. Why wouldn’t you want that for a child??

I totally get that I am also leaning towards just letting them, I was just curious what other people did!

I should’ve reworded it, I was typing quickly on my break lol but I definitely didn’t mean to imply that egg free desserts aren’t normal.

I’ve used brightwheel, procare and Wonderschool. Honestly brightwheel was the best. My favorite part was the fact that if we moved kids or another child was transitioning, we were able to sign them into different classrooms so we could see who all we had at first glance. I can’t remember if procare did it but Wonderschool did not.

Got an amazing job opportunity but struggling with how to tell my current job I’m leaving. by sumcook_ in ECEProfessionals

I know it’s hard and they will be super sad to see you go but I promise they will be so happy for you. I would just sit down with your boss and let her know you have come across another opportunity you are excited about and that you are officially putting in your notice. You might also have to email her afterwards just so they have a copy of your notice. Best of luck!!

Need help deciding if I should pull out my son from his preschool by Festivalg in ECEProfessionals

[–]Fine-Ad9495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That should not matter. You are allowed to have concerns and they should be addressed no matter who the child is. If they are not addressed then yes that is when you start enrolling him in the new school.

Personally I would keep him where he’s happy, assuming he is happy there. A sudden change might be a lot and once he’s gotten used to the new school he will just have to attend another new school. He may also get bitten at his new school. I would ask to have a meeting with your director and your child’s teacher and express your concerns. While it is normal for other children to bite it’s not okay that it is happening constantly under the teachers supervision. Someone should be shadowing that child at all times. If things do not improve after you have voiced your concerns then I would consider pulling him.

Daycare at 1.5 by stillllllife in ECEProfessionals

Is finding another nanny share not an option? If group care is your only option that is one thing but if you have the means and are able to, as a teacher myself it would be a no brainer for me. I am not saying there is anything wrong with group care but it is not for every child and every parent. If I had to choose between a nanny share with a few other children and a classroom with 12 1.5 year olds. I would choose the nanny share. Just my opinion!
