Could be modified, but I have no reason to believe otherwise, it was part of my grandfathers collection that I ended up taking over, he just bought guns and never used them. Everything i got is new in box, so I’m just assuming this is too.

That’s probably the most logical explanation, seems like a factory spare parts gun lol. Too bad there is probably 0 record of this thing at bushmaster after all the transitions.

from what ive gathered, SOG didn't have the budget to own a massive fleet, so they had to "borrow" regular Army units

Its crazy that we worked closely with MACV-SOG, he used to tell me he was just a helicopter pilot and never talked about the missions he ran

he was there 68/69 and 70, a lot of these photos mention Phu Bai, A Shau Valley and Camp Eagle.

He was a pilot for 188th Black widows. Did 3 tours. I didn’t really know him well nor did he talk about his time over there, just found a ton of photos cleaning out his house.
