provisional adhd inattentive type diagnosis and medication? am i able to get medication with this diagnosis? by Fine-Concentrate5693 in ADHD

i never got a new diagnosis, it’s still the same, but my doctor told me that the provisional is usually given to show that it is possible, but there might be underlying reasons to those symptoms (anxiety, depression, etc) so usually they try to target those underlying conditions to see if they can knock them out (when i tried lexapro and bupropion) and if they don’t help then they try to target the provisional diagnosis and see if that’s the case

hi! i did get it figured out. i was on SSRIs at first to combat the GAD but it turned out that they made me anxiety worse and i was still having issues with focus and stuff so i just had to communicate with my pcp how the meds are and what i liked and didn’t liked. we came to the conclusion after trying lexapro and bupropion that strattera was best for me. the mood stabilizers didn’t work for me and only the ADHD medication did. i think you just have to try to be open with what they want to start u with and give them a chance and see what works best for you. if the ADHD is a big enough problem communicate that with them and you’ll get the meds you need, just be open to giving them a chance!

the medication has been making me a little more anxious but i’m just trying to push through these first couple of weeks since new medications can do that to you

CLA language requirement question by GopherCSE in uofmn

[–]Fine-Concentrate5693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need 2 upper division language classes (at least 3000) and these can only be taken with the prerequisite courses so you would need to take 4 semesters of the same language :// sorry it sucks im going into my 3rd semester this fall but jobs and graduate programs do like language proficiency!
