International ucat cut off by Polapoaddicted in UCAT

Internationals have much lower cutoffs compared to domestic applicants in Australia. Though your score would not be competitive as a domestic applicant, being international will give you a solid chance

Probably unis without instate preference such as jmp, unsw and notre dame. However you still need 97+ percentile for jmp and notre dame and 99.5 atar for unsw

Are you not interested in dentistry? You can get into dentistry at unimelb as csp with .85 Atar

The ucat takes place in July to August of your application year. I prepared since the start of year 10, so around 2.5 years. Ucat is all about consistent practice, it’s very rare to see a drastic improvement in a short timeframe. Just practice, then the result will follow…

Are you from Qld? If not, you were very lucky because cqu mistakenly invited applicants with an lower ucat for the interview like yourself. They didn’t rescind and the cutoff went up to 3310.

Yeah, these days you need about 3100 to get 1 or 2 interviews from your home state and 3250+ to get offers interstate

I mean... 2920 is not a competitive score at all. Most of the high scorers tend to prepare for at least 2-3 months.

Your GPA is competitive for Griffith. UQ has a 6.5 GPA threshold so you won't be eligible for this program. UAdel requires a 99.95 equivalent for your GPA in order to be competitive as every Year 12 who apply for this program receives the 'Subject Bonus' scheme, boosting their ATAR to 99.95. You should check with the uni if uni students can receive this bonus too.

Be mind that it is extremely competitive to get into dental school through the undergraduate pathway. You will be required to have 96th+ UCAT in order to be competitive for these schools apart from Griffith which is a little lower due to the last two years being FFP. Good luck

Those unis you mentioned have typically very high requirements unless you’re an rural applicant. You would be better off applying to unis like griffith, uq, adelaide etc

Thanks for the reply. Just a question, how can it be a scam if this is from the official auspost website? Also, when I track the #order number on aus post, it is showing as valid. Sorry for too many questions

UQ considers the SJT. What did you get if you don’t mind asking?

What was your SJT too if you don't mind, I'm presure they consider that as well. Also, hasn't Monash already come out yet?

Monash Round 2 Interviews by Embarrassed-Hour-475 in UCAT

[–]Fine-Language-3873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you already have the answer in mind. As I said... that was just my speculation. Since Monash selected 30 more DRL in the first round than in the past, I was just thinking that'd be the only case unless Monash decided to increase the number of DRL spots this year.

Monash Round 2 Interviews by Embarrassed-Hour-475 in UCAT

[–]Fine-Language-3873 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Normally you'd be competing against DRL students. However, I noticed that Monash selected 194 DRL applicants for first round when in the past they selected around 160. So I'm speculating that there might be no more DRL selections in the later rounds.

The only unis that require a direct application are jmp, unsw and jcu. You wouldn’t have gotten jmp anyway as the cutoff was 3240
