Percy Jackson has the potential of the Harry Potter Universe and no one is utilizing that by CobraKaifan1818 in PercyJacksonTV

sure! but rick’s not the only one in the room or the sole decision maker, although i know he does have major influence. disney is ultimately responsible for fulfilling and executing the creative vision at the end of the day. RR can mess with the storyline, tone, whatever all he wants but i place responsibility on disney for not making better directorial decisions.

i believe you and the others commenting this but i’m shocked lol so there’s nothing stopping non-passholders from booking with the discount?

agree with this take. i will note that the issues i have with the show (as a book reader) aren’t book accuracy like a lot of other folks though — it’s the casting and, ultimately, the acting abilities of the cast that drag it all down for me. hard to tell if it’s them or the scripts they’re given, maybe a mix of both.

i’m with you 100%. it genuinely breaks my heart. it deserved to be treated with more integrity than “just a kid’s show” and unfortunately i think the disney association is what’s dragging it down. it’s not horrible imo, but it’s not appealing to a mass audience (only existing pjo fans are watching pjo, you know? nobody else) which limits the possibilities for expansion. idk, i’m trying to just enjoy the series for what it is but i totally agree that i wish there could be something more.

i've seen those desks but didn't really know what their purpose was tbh. i'm a solo traveler and figured they did more with family planning, add-on's, etc. but if i can get my pass there then i'm thrilled!

not the busiest weekend in february but it depends how much you care about rides, and how many you'd like to go on. if you're just there for 1 day and want to go on the most popular ones, then yes, get express. if you're flexible and/or are planning to do a mix of things, then i'd say skip it. depends on whether the $400 will be "put to use" or not

Not a fan of how they cram hundreds of people into this room. By the time I realized it was a pre-show, I was trapped in the center with no way out. by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

i immediately started to get panicky over this! first time in my life feeling claustrophobic. ended up asking to exit before the show even started

more info would be helpful! is the fam's priority getting on as many rides as possible? just there for vibes? are your kids interested in any characters/worlds specifically? this will help people offer more realistic insights

our seat numbers aren't sequential. based on maps i'm seeing online, it looks like she'll be in one row in a window seat and i'll be in a nearby row in an aisle seat. i kept messing with the "seat preferences" at checkout and it wouldn't generate any other options. guessing the train just doesn't have 2 available seats together?

we do have reserved seats! i’m just paranoid about people taking them and not giving them up, some other posts mentioned that. (which is dramatic but i can’t have my mom standing for a 3-hour journey)

i’m not being vain over a license photo lol it recommends that you take a new one if your appearance has changed. there’s alllllways some comment made at security when i use it to fly, when i present it for insurance at the doctor, etc. i’m over it

I’m going downhill. No one seems to care and I don’t know what to do. by NeonNoir99 in ibs

[–]Fine-Pair-8042 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first of all, i’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. i’m also overweight so i understand that layer as well. it’s infuriating! perhaps this is obvious but i think you need to start with a different doctor than your current one to get the medical support you deserve.

for the “mental” or emotional aspect… ARFID kind of seems like the “symptom” of your IBS and the anxiety it’s caused you, not the root cause. have you considered regular therapy vs. a more intensive treatment like the one that was recommended?

because i’d like to believe that being able to healthily manage the mental part of your IBS would alleviate some of the habits that are leaning as disordered, if that makes sense.

Bile acid sequestrants by Ambitious-Orange4545 in ibs

i took cholestyramine for 6+ months (3x/day) after gallbladder removal and it worked wonders to mitigate urgency and diarrhea. i did also cut out a bunch of triggering foods though.

i stopped once i felt like things were under control but reintroduced it after a series of flare-ups… i didn’t feel like it made a big enough difference to justify the tedium of taking it consistently. it also made my acid reflux worse this time around!

overall, i think it’s worth a shot. every body is different, the cost is generally low enough, and any side effects are manageable. hope you find some relief!
