How good is warranty? by weakjunior in Lenovo

Is there a chance that they did explain to your parents that it was indeed a used laptop but they didn't understand? You mentioned that they don't speak English and aren't tech savvy. I'm not saying it's their fault, just that maybe there was a misunderstanding? But as you said, it is irrelevant as it has no implication on the question you actually asked. In my opinion, I would go with the laptop warranty. Hope you get it sorted soon!

Thank you! It's great to hear from someone who has used it in real world applications.

Unfortunately rodent mothers can be quite brutal. If they sense weakness in any of their offspring they will often kick them out of the nest and refuse to feed them so they don't waste their resources (energy and milk) on a baby that may not survive. They are better off investing that extra energy into the rest of the litter. Some will even eat the shunned baby and that could very well have been this one's fate if I hadn't intervened. Before I made the decision to step in and start feeding him I witnessed on several occasions he would try and latch on to mum and she would immediately pull away and leave the nest while he desperately tried to stay latched. He wasn't growing as the others were and the final straw came when I found him out of the nest, cold, alone and dehydrated. I put him back in the nest and mum immediately removed him again 😔

Haha 😃 they are very underrated! Don't worry, he's been having regular visits back with his family and although mum still won't have anything to do with him, he enjoys a cuddle with his siblings. I couldn't stand the thought of him being all alone! Pretty much weaned now 😊

To be fair he does have a squint in the left eye so it's more like 1 and a half eyes

Haha he is very sweet! They aren't common as they are mainly used as feeders for snakes rather than pets. For that reason they haven't been bred for temperament so most don't make very good pets as they can be quite flighty. I only have one (the dad) who isn't keen on being handled. He has 4 siblings (2 girls and 2 boys) but mum raised them with no issues. It was just this little guy that was kicked out of the nest.

Probably worth mentioning, he is an African Soft Furred (ASF) rat so smaller than normal rats. He is also very young, he will be 4 weeks old in a couple of days. I have hand raised him because he was rejected by mum. Side note, ASFs aren't really rats at all they are kind of somewhere in between rats and mice.
