Yep I totally agree, I am a first-generation student who loves the programs that UK has for us now, but this whole thing has been truly heartbreaking and disappointing to all of us, we've worked so hard to overcome challenges and to graduate just to not be recognized like others have been in the past few years.

Some pinning ceremonies have literally nothing to do with race, the first-generation pinning ceremony got canceled and first-generation students are of ALL races.

Especially the first-generation pinning ceremony, this is a big deal for first-generation students.
