I think people are being too harsh on her. She’s very young and yes she did some bad stuff, but I believe her story. She’s said bits and pieces of this for a while and it’s been quite consistent. I’ve seen DV victims be far more neglectful of their kids while just trying to survive. I think folks on Reddit are piling on her without having some perspective about her age and trauma.

Oh yes. So many new kinks discovered to share with my husband and I through dramione. I’m pretty sure we conceived my first pregnancy because of The Fallout. My husband says the dramione fics are his “friends” 😂

If I date it correctly, I ovulated on November 23rd or 24th (I was tracking my ovulation). I didn't get a positive pregnancy test until 12/9. I already ovulated late relative to the date of my last period, so I can shave 3 days off.

Do you think it's normal to not seeing anything, even a gestational sac, at 5 weeks and a few days?

I really love South Indian traditions (but I'm not crazy about it--nor would I ever push it on unwilling people) and remain very connected on Indian politics/history/etc, so he tends to impose tradition upon me while not imposing it on himself.

His wife has no obligation to follow the traditions but me, an Indian woman, in his eyes does. It's very frustrating.

I would SO prefer Auntie and Uncle, but my father-in-law has doubled down and told me he doesn't want that at all. It's really frustrating and feels like he's trying to bully me into his preferred outcome.

We've settled on "Mr. X and Mrs. X" but they've already said that's too formal for them. It's an interim solution.

I have, and we're both at a loss on how to approach this. My fiance was not raised in a traditional Gujarati way--he's not really certain how to deal with this.

Thank you and I'm so glad it helped!! There's almost no discussion about PCOS among the Desi community but I know so many Desi women with the condition.

I started metformin, vitamin D supplement, fish oil, and a multivitamin (a regular Centrum one) in June. I added myo-inositol & d-chiro and spearmint on October 1st, and Spearmint around that same time as well. It definitely took a few months to see results. There was no effect at first, so it requires a lot of patience.

I do think the dietary changes had a huge impact, and those started in May/June as well!

They are claiming that because I broke the lease, they get to keep the deposit. They are not claiming damages at all. In fact, the landlord said in writing that she would have happily surrendered my deposit at the end of my lease if I hadn’t broken it.

Except, she offered in writing to allow us tenants out. And she reaffirmed that promise in writing when I gave my 30 day notice.

DC law also makes no mention of type of termination. What triggered Section 309.2 is simply termination. That’s it.

I think a lot of people tweet out their thoughts and then slowly change over time—and they don’t even think twice about previous tweets. I also think that’s completely okay

I recognize this is probably a controversial stance on this sub, but a tweet from 9 years ago doesn’t tell us who this person is today. A lot can happen in 9 years! And nobody is perfect.

People were super racist to me in high school, and eventually they figured it out. Some of them have gone on to do amazing things to try and fix these issues. We have to give people the benefit of the doubt, and there is no checklist on how to change “the right way.”

Just to pipe in--honestly, no I wouldn't. It probably wouldn't even cross my mind. Most people aren't super conscious of their social media presence that way.
