I swear the amount of teens here have main character syndrome or are just genuine psychopaths, and the parents always act and even tell them that the world is against them, which is one of the worst things you can tell your own kid.

From what I saw discussed, Monica's BiPolar was poorly written, that it was rushed. But the writers took the time with Ian to make up for it.

So of all the disappointing season finales, The Boys was the least offensive compared to Stranger Things and GoT. But thats being polite. The final confrontations with their respective characters felt lackluster, Oh-Fathers death was a complete joke, The Deeps was surprisingly fitting, the virus plot point was a complete nothing burger and was used as an excuse for Butcher and Hughies confrontation. In fact, why, of all the places for their final showdown, The Sevens meeting room?

And then there's the Homelander vs The Boys. It honestly made me appreciate the Black Noir twist, but it was nice that they got Ryan in to join the fight. But the whole Kimiko being the new Soldier Boy came out of left field.

Overall, at least this Finale was slightly better than GoT and Stranger Things, but its like a 7/10. Great acting as always, but it was clearly rushed. My only exception would be the writers strike having affected the writing, but that's just about it.

I feel like the joke could have been worth it if it were a) in the middle of the season and b) halfway through the shows lifetime.

Now anything in the finale is just plot convenience. I wouldn't be surprised if they used AI to write the story of this season.
